Prayers needed for Carolyn

I spoke with Carolyn today and last night and she is in the hospital with an irregular heartbeat,she's had this all her life but they want to keep her until tomorrow so they can be sure to get it under control. I know she'll be fine but I am sure she wouldn't mind a little extra prayers and good thoughts right about now.

Has anyone heard of these guys? I only just recently discovered them, and I love them. In a way they kind of reminded me of the Monkees . They had an HBO show that ran for two seasons, and basically it was these two guys from New Zealand who are a band trying to make it big in NYC. They have ONE fan, a manager, and never get any good gigs. It's definitely on HBO for a reason - not something I would let little kids...

HEAD (prod. #8888), a motion picture starring that popular TV rockband The Monkees, opened at the Studio Cinema and Greenwich Theaters in New York City. A gala was held at the Columbia Pictures studio on West 54th Street attended by The Monkees, Janis Ian, Andy Warhol, Boyce & Hart, Carole Bayer, Lester Sill, Bert Schneider, Bob Rafelson, Peter Fonda, Peter's brother Nick Thorkelson, and his grandmother.

I'm watching Jay Leno doing his monologue and he just threw out this question to the audience.

Who's aging better, Micky Dolenz or Mickey Rourke? They showed younger photos of both (Micky's from 1967). Then they showed the current photos of both. Nice one of Micky.

Who won? Micky Dolenz.

But we already knew that.

Carl Ballentine, who played producer Hubbel Benson in the Monkees episode 'Find The Monkees', passed away today at the age of 87. He was famous for his comic magic act and is also best remembered as being one of the sailors in 'McHale's Navy'. A very funny man who brought joy to many. He'll be missed.

As usual, I have trouble coming up with a wish list. Most of all, I wish for my mother's continued good health. She's an amazing lady (but you already know that) and I would like nothing better than to see her gaining strength and driving again, as I know it would mean a lot for her to have some of her independence back.

I also would like to wish the best of health and life to all my fellow Monkeelanders, even those I don't know as well as I should or could. And, if...

Is anyone going to Peter & SSB's show in Lafayette, Indiana this coming Thursday (11/5)? It's almost a sell-out - they only have 9 tickets left -whoo hoo!!!!

I have a ticket and if I can actually walk on Thursday, I'm going to drive up. It would be nice to see everybody.

For this Christmas I would like to be able to regain my health and for our luck to get a little better. And to be forgiven by all my Monkeeland friends who probably though I had abandoned them, because I haven't, I just had a lot going on.
