I went and saw these guys tonight.

First time I heard their music since the 1970s. What a blast from the past! Great Blistering Blues & Rock & Roll.

Had a lot of fun watching a lot of the other 50 somethings geting up and trying to dance. I'll bet lot of them will have 3 tylenol days tomorrow.

April 5th - ten years ago today that British rock drummer Cozy Powell died in a car accident in Bristol, England. He was 50.

Never staying with one band for too long, Powell played with names such as the Jeff Beck Group, Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Whitesnake and Black Sabbath, among many others, including a long list of session work. It is hard to believe that John Belushi died 26 years ago today. He died on March.5,1982 at the age of 33. Such a genius. His comedic skills were second to none and he was also an accomplished writer. Alot of the skits you saw on SNL from 1977 to 1979 were written by him and Dan Aykroyd.
We can't forget his musical talents,too,as one of The Blues Brothers. Not only was it a great movie,but John Belushi & Dan Aykroyd even took their act on the road.

Bon Scott's Death 28th Anniversary

If you are a fan of the group AC/DC,then February 19th is always a tough day. On February 19th 1980,Bon Scott,the lead singer of AC/DC,was found dead in the backseat of a friends car. He had died during the night from accute alcohol poisoning. Bon was only 33.
Although AC/DC hired a new lead singer after Bon's death,it was never the same for me. I never much cared for the Brian Johnson version of AC/DC.
It's hard to believe it's been 28 years!
