Hey Maria, thank you for the note. I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks, as well for your compliment directed towards me. Let me say publicly that Ray is a huge and important part of our community, and decisions that were made mod-wise here were not inteneded to be any knock at all towards that. Ray knows, (I hope!), how we all feel about him here. Recent decisions were based on what a consensus of mods and admin felt was the best fit for the forum at this particular time. Nothing more...

Maria, I'm sorry that you feel that way. I'm sure there are lots of new members who can attest to the fact that we really try to make everyone feel welcome here.

We do have lots of members who don't post offen. There are various reasons for that. Some signed up, posted a couple of times and decided this place wasn't for them. Some posted a LOT and then their interests changed and they've moved on. If there are members who don't feel welcome here, then maybe...

Firstly, I would like to say good luck to the three new Mods, I am sure you will all do a great job here.
Secondly, I can understand how Ray feels, I also think he would of made a great Mod too, because he has been the only one apart from Elaine that has really welcome me here and has actually had the manners to talk to me and use my name.

JanB, if you mean moving ML to YUKU from EZboards, they had no choice. ML board were probably among the last boards to move over, as ezboard is being phased out completely. Apparently this change over from EZboard to Yuku has been going on about 2 years. There is a YUKU section now to this message board, I would post your concern there. I am getting used to Yuku, but I definitely was not looking forward to the change initially.

Congrats to the new Mods, BTW!

I do have one complaint. I subscribed to be emailed when there's a post to this thread. It ain't workin'...I thought maybe I didn't, when I thought I did, so I tried again, and it said I was already subscribed...

I missed the discussion on why you chose to move Monkeeland after all these years...somebody enlighten me?

Good luck to the new mod's. I dosen't matter who mods the forum, what matters is that they care about David.

I Love Davy. This weather has got me down in the dumps and you know what I did? I put some Davy on the cd player and just chilled out all afternoon and do I feel better! I LOVE THAT JONES BOY!!!!

I am putting on my Sheriff Beets admin boots (the purple ones with the pointy toes) to weigh in here in hopes of restoring some semblance of order.

Sally it is indeed unfortunate that this change in mods has upset you. However, your very negative public reaction to it here on Monkeeland has spoiled the pleasure of the new mods who were all looking forward to attempting to fill Mares shoes something they knew would be difficult....

I have decided after my six years of being the DJ moderator here, to step down and go on to other things. My life has changed pretty dramatically since I accepted the mod position in 2002 and I feel that it's just the right time to move on now.

I WILL still be a ML member and I will still be the Jones Camp contact, passing on DJ info to the ML...
