And on the other side of the coin,the heater went on this morning and has been going on all day off and on. It was 44 last night and is only supposed to be a high of 56 today.

My a/c went on at 8:00 am, and it's programmed to go on when it reaches 80 in the house. It's gonna be a long, hot day. I see lots of swimming in our future.

This time of year, I only complain about hot weather when I'm overdressed! I walked home from work yesterday, but didn't realize it was quite so hot out- I was in black pants, a t-shirt *and* a black hoodie. The wind was coming on and off, so it wasn't quite t-shirt weather, but it was still darn hot, especially once I got walking.

I figure if I walk home from work every day for the rest of the month, I save $20.

I hate the hot and humid weather. When it's 95 degrees and high humidity,I cringe. Being from Texas,one would think that I would love hot weather. Well,yes,I do,but not oppresive humidity. In Texas it was hot,but the humidity was low. So,I remember it being 105 degrees but the humidity level was so low that it wasn't bad. One thing you have to remember,though is to carry water with you.

That does sound nice, Shane. Today it was 100 degrees and I had to run around this afternoon doing car maintance (something I keep telling my husband is *his* job, but he never gets around to it...) then open house at my daughter's school tonight. Gotta wait 'til it cools off a little bit to walk the dog.

What a nice day I had today. I spent the morning browsing through a few stores with my favorite co-workers from my days in the hotel biz. We used to work in the hotel's restaurant together, and I don't get a chance to see them very often since the place closed and everybody went their own ways. We then had a nice lunch at the local Applebees.

Then this afternoon, clear out of the blue, I get a phone call from a friend of mine who I haven't heard from in quite some time....

Nice pics, Cindy! I can't help you on why Karl makes funny faces, though, 'cause I'm a facemaker too!

Well, my second day on the job, still no software. At least they gave me a few projects to start thinking about, so I was able to get a lot of rough work done... so hopefully once I get on the computer, stuff will start coming together quickly!
