What exactly was it with David Cook and his brother during the auditions? His brother did and then they asked David to sing also or something? In any case, the results are kind of moot. It's a title, and it's nice to be the winner, but we know darned well that they'll both be releasing albums and I'm sure both will do just fine. But now here's something - the higher you go in the line up, one still gets a recording contract and then the top 10 go on tour....probably a few will be able to get recording contracts from the top ten.
