        <![CDATA[ I will start another AT 40 thread.  I think Shane was mostly into this, not sure about the rest of you. You guys can listen for free on music.aol.com  and search for XM Station 7 on Saturday from noon-3 ET and on Sunday on Channel 8 from
noon-3pm ET.  On channel 7, they replay AT 40 shows from 1970-1979 and on Channel 8, shows from 1980-1988.


This week, I am listening to 2/26/1977. I recall some of this music firsthand, but I think most of it I learned about later from oldie

(synthesizer music) named Walter Carlos had a sex change and became Windy Carlos. I thought that was an odd mention.

I think this was a &quot;new&quot; old show, Shane. I was surprised at the number of instrumentals: Magnum PI, Pop Goes the Movies and Chariots of Fire. The
Magnum IP song was interesting for me, I always remembered the show&#39;s theme, but I don&#39;t recall this song on the radio back in those days by Mike Post.

medley. It&#39;s easy to forget, too, how country music tended to cross over to the pop chart in the 80&#39;s. In this countdown we had Willie Nelson singing

Japanese compilation, but it&#39;s a mix that is indeed very hard to locate.
