Just an update, I still haven't heard anything back from TLC. That would have been extra special had they chosen us for Mother's Day next weekend, but oh well. I tried at least

Molly darlin, what is 'razzed?' Thanks for the definitions too. However, I think the use of the word 'Plotz' in Fame the TV Series by Doris was meant to be 'fall over' as in 'faint.'

I don't mean to be a pedant but... " "'Avin' a bubble" = bubbling over with giggles. " Is not exactly right. It's rhyming slang - bubble bath = laugh so 'avin' a laugh becomes 'avin' a bubble

I should say though, good try!! If you need to know anything about London slang, just ask - I didn't get the ickle name "elxxxx doolittle" for talking to...

"Plotz" (Yiddish) = "burst one's buttons" as with pride or in taking extreme gratified delight.

"Get stuffed" (UK) = vulgar equivalent of "Take off" (Canada) = "Get lost".

"'Avin' a bubble" = bubbling over with giggles.

"Bling" = big, flashy jewelry.

Eek - I know I'm total prude, but I hate public displays of affection like that - hold hands, yes, kiss, yes but not snogging or whatever. Oh and Cheri - that's one phrase we don't really use in the UK but that we do know- "Making out". Do you use it in the sense of pretending too? As in "He was making out that he was an aeroplane"
