Nez' Nudie suit- my best memory of that is in 33 1/3- I always thought it was funny that it had peacocks on it, NBC peacock... Texas stars... and the collar that Elvis wanted on his suit after he saw it.
And yes I'd love to try it on.

We were having a discussion on VR3D not too long ago about Nez's Nudie suit - Fang said the suit fits her now! That's a picture I would love to see!!!

I remember Porter with Dolly Parton on his show. The suits he used to wear were a sight to behold.

Oh, it must be the one that looks like a white glittery cowboy suit. I thought maybe it was supposed to make him look nude or something. (I seem to spend a lot of time behind this sofa.)

I'm just thankful that Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers never got into wearing those.

Gotta love Gram Parsons! Pops,he is one of my alltime favorites. Such a tragic loss!

A Nudie suit is a suit designed by Jamie Nudie,who created many famous nudie suits. He created ones for Gram Parsons,several for Chicago,America and he is best known for creating the gold lame suit in 1957 for Elvis Presley. He also created a nudie suit for Michael Nesmith in 1968. That is the one Michael wore to the HEAD premier in 1968 and wore several times during 1969.

What's a nudie suit? I've seen it mentioned several times but have no idea what you're referring to. Maybe you could post a pic, or point me to one already posted if there is one.

The Byrds and the Burritos were two excellent CR bands. So was Little Feat when Lowell was with them. 'Dixie Chicken' has become a classic on the radio.

Through the help of a friend in the UK, I just scored a couple of copies of the April issue of Uncut Magazine that has an article about Nez and the First National Band.
