Hi, first time post, age 55 male, long time fan of the group, just found this site. I have been looking for a shirt similar to the double breasted type the
group used to wear. Came in both cotton and velour, anyone with any leads I would appreicate it. Gary

one more question, someone said the bib is removable, what is under the bib once its removed? is it an open cut, I'd like to see a pic of the shirt without
the bib, this possible? Gary

In 1966 I made my friend Lani and myself matching Monkee dresses to wear to the concerts. They had detachable bibs. They were blue and I sewed white letters
on the bibs. Mine said David Jones and Lani's said Micky Dolenz. We wore them by RCA and Peter pulled on my bib and said "What's this?"

As, much as I would like to do someting like that, what I made was for Barbie dolls, not full size adult shirts. That is very involved work, and I am no
seamstress, it would not be fair to anyone wanting something to wear, to have someone who is not a seamtress to make. There is also no pattern out there. And
if I did something like that I would charge a lot more than the Canton Bib Shirt are. I also don't have the time right now for even my own hobbys.

Yeah, they are also known as: Bib Shirts, if you look this up on the net they come in all styles, I remember that John Wayne wore them in his movies and the
Monkee shirt was in the movie 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. When I was making the shirts for the Barbie convention 3 years ago I had to find pics of the shirts and
make my own patterns. I was successful in making the red shirts for the Ken dolls (won second place)and blue shirts for the Kelly dolls(won first place).
