Angie's date,Steven,left at midnight. He doesn't drive yet,so his older brother came and picked him up. I guess Steve's brother had to go to work at 1am. Sad that Angie's date left so early,but then again,all that counts is that she and John had fun.

John and his date,Lisa,won a trophy for coming in second place in the contest. Besides the 1940s theme,the regular music was mostly current stuff,plus you could request songs. John requested "Hello,I Love You" by the Doors and I requested "I'm A Believer" by the kees. It was lotsa fun.

If you take a look at the fifth and sixth pictures,you can see that the napkins on the tabletop that the boxes of popcorn are resting on are made to look like strips of film. Angie pointed that out to me and I thought that was a great idea.

We wanted to get Angie and John and their dates uo to get portraits taken at the prom,but they were only taking portraits before the prom and also you had to have purchased a ticket at school to have a picture taken. Besides that,Angie didn't have her hair finished until right around the start of the prom itself,6pm. So,even if she got a ticket for a portrait,she would of missed having it taken.

They had a theme of classic movies that dealt with dancing;Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers etc. One of the many contests they had was dancing to the classic 1940s music like Gene Kelly did and Fred Astaire. I didn't do too good in that competition,but John and his date came in second place. He did really good.

Great pics, Angie! Was there a theme going on at your prom? I noticed the little popcorn boxes and things with ribbons (?) in them and it made me curious. Our theme was Mardi Gras; though I'm not exactly sure why!

Thanks for the compliments everybody. It was such a great time. I stayed until almost 6am. John stayed until 3am. He got to do his Fred Astaire dances with his walking stick that my Mom had just bought him.

Actually,Nora,my Mom did my hair and make-up for me. It took sooooo long 'cause they dye I used to make my hair more auburn kinda dried my hair,so it had to be washed all over again,and my hair is really really long,so Mom and Dad tag teamed,Mom with the brush and Dad with...
