In order, I have seen... Stevie Ray Vaughn 1984 Huey Lewis & the News 1984 Supertramp 1985 Pink Floyd 1987 Rush 1988 Monkees (all four guys!) 1989 Paul McCartney 1989 Grateful Dead 1993 Randy Newman 1996 Alan Parsons 2007 I'd still like to catch Eric Clapton and Brian Wilson in the future, also Ringo and his All-Starr Band. If anyone has ever seen Clapton or Brian Wilson or Ringo please tell me how they were! -Elmer

My very first concert was (now, don't laugh..I was only twelve for heaven' sake.. ... ) The Osmonds in September 1975... Then it's on to the early 80's and I'm real fuzzy on the exact year for each show but...there was Linda Ronstadt (probably '82)...Air Supply..again around '82/83...and (I went with my folks to this one..even tho' I am not a country fan) Kenny Rogers and Crystal Gayle... and then with this guy I was dating in '84 we went to see Jefferson Starship.... and then in '89 I saw Cheap Trick...then it goes like so: Stevie Nicks in '91...and I think I saw CT again around then but I am not sure...then it was CT in Feb. 94...then Stevie Nicks again and then CT two more times to round out 1994... Then I went to Chicago in 1995....well documented by my pics in the member pics thread.... Then Stevie Nicks in 1998...2001....and Fleetwood Mac in 2003 and 2004...and Stevie again in 2007! Alas I never got 'round to any Monkees during that time...and have yet to see any of them in their current ventures. sigh maybe....one of these days... I almost forgot...Elton John came to Laramie in 1999....it was when he was just doing those basically acoustic shows with just him at his piano....three solid hours...and oh, boy....did he ever rock the Arena Auditorium!..

I'm sure I don't remember all of the non Monkee ones, but they include Frankie Avalon, Fabian, Bobby Rydell, The Bell Notes, Ricky Nelson, Elvis, John Denver and Andy Williams. Sally B.

I've seen a lot of shows by a lot of groups. I can't even begin to remember specific dates of a lot of them. I won't even try to come up with a complete list but some of the more memorable shows have been-- The Monkees (M, P and D) at the Crystal Grand Theater, Wisconsin Dells, 1997. Micky and Coco Dolenz as well as SSB at Waterfest in my hometwon of Oshkosh, WI in 2004 Davy's delayed show at Waterfest after a 2004 rainout in the summer of 2005. Chicago, (too many times to count), but faves include the Wisconsin State Fair in 1988, and Caeasar's Palace in Las Vegas in 1999. Blood, Sweat and Tears--many venues, many cities (and more recently, David Clayton-Thomas as a solo act with his big band that include many BS and T alumnii) The Turtles, Gary Puckett, Sha Na Na, the Guess Who, Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Grass Roots, [Barry Whitwam's] Herman's Hermits, the Beach Boys, The Ides Of March, Three Dog Night, Grand Funk Railroad, Felix Cavaliere's Rascals, Bob Dylan, and a LOT of others..... The first concert I ever went to was to see the Oakridge Boys (remember "Elvira"? ) probably in 1980 or '81. Then in no particular order ('cause I can't remember, lol): Huey Lewis and the News-Concord Pavillion Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers-twice at Arco Arena in Sac. 3Kees at the now-defuct Sac. Amphitheatre Mary Chapin Carpenter in Oakland, CA Peter, Paul and Mary in S.F., CA. Vince Gill at Arco Arena The Drifters, Lodi, CA Simon & Garfunkle reunion tour-Arco Arena Micky Dolenz at Santa Cruz and Newport Peter and JLS in South S.F. Smashmouth in San Diego (in an aircraft hanger!) Earth, Wind and Fire in Toronto, CAN. If we're counting broadway shows I saw Davy in "Grease" in S.F. and Micky in "Pippin" in L.A. Also saw Irene Cara in "Jesus Christ Superstar" in S.F. and many other shows! More if I think of them.

Then Davy in a solo concert in August 2000.. Monkees w/out Mike in March of '01.. Peter at Brookfield Zoo with the Missing Links in Aug of '06.. Micky in Pippin twice in Oct and Dec '06... Davy in Aug of '07.. Other concerts I have seen have been many, because of a big local music festival or 2 that I have been going to for a long time....I saw Little Richard, Steppenwolf, Cheap Trick, Smashmouth, Santana, Live, Collective Soul, Blues Traveler, Temptations, Tommy James, Doobie Brothers, Black Crowes, REO Speedwagon, Steve Miller Band, an incarnation of the Young Rascals...more that I can't remember at the moment. Peter was in Indianapolis in late 1990s just to sign autographs. The organizers expected about 200 people and about 400 showed up. Since he only signed one item per person, one young girl brought in her family and gave each one a collectible to get signed for her. I saw Blue Suede Blues several times when they used to play weekly in Santa Monica, Calif. I was also at the last 3kees show ever in 2001 in Anaheim, Calif. The show was recorded and on the DVD I can see myself in the audience during the encore numbers. How cool is that?

Posts: 9 (05/30/08 3:00 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Oh, I forgot to mention that I saw Ami Dolenz perform in the play "Bleak House" (Dickens) at a small theater in Hollywood in about 2002, 2003 or so. Does that count? She was quite good and at the time she was part of an acting company, so she's respected in the theater community. I met her after the show and she was charming --and not as tall as her dad! (Micky came on opening night of the show, so I didn't see him).
