Posts: 4569 (04/06/07 9:19 PM) Mr. Smarty Pants Treasure Chest Rock of Gibraltar Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	It has come to my attention this evening, and I have verified, that we are having a problem with the W32/RAHack!htm trojan in the group forum this evening. This is a low risk trojan which shouldn't do any real harm to your computer, but I would recommend making sure all of your virus scans are up-to-date and functioning properly. Please be sure to scan your computer if you haven't done so recently. I have brought this problem to the attention of tech support and we are working on getting this problem fixed as quickly as possible. Please be wary as you traverse the group forum and the other boards. Shane

Posts: 26118 (04/07/07 9:51 AM) Maharishi of Music Chopped Liver Magnum, PA Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	If I may add something I found out when I was alerted that I had got hit with that Trojan yesterday,this is a Trojan that likes to hide in your "System Restore" file,so before you do any virus removal or scans,please shut your "System Restore" completely off so that everything is deleted from that section,then turn "System Restore" back on and then do your normal scanning for viruses/removal of viruses because I was told that this Trojan cannot be removed from your computer by just a virus scan alone. You have to shut off "System Restore" first,then do the virus scan. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Lizzie! You ARE our tech guru! I still would recommend taking Ray and Sotet's advice and performing a full and thorough scan on your computers, just to be on the safe side. This seems to be a relatively harmless trojan, but even still, it never hurts to take precautions. I might add, please sure you are not linking photos or avatars to websites. Please save them to your own hard drive or disk and upload them on your own to a server like photobucket. That's the best way to make sure everybody stays safe in situations like this.
