As you all know, I've written with Laura a bunch of time-travel stories. The Monkees have been all over time. Now, it seems I'm running out of places for our heroes to land. Does anyone have any suggestions on which era(s) I should take the guys to next? So far, the Monkees have traveled to: Ancient Egypt Ancient Rome King Arthur's England American Civil War American Revolutionary War Early American Colonial Times Old Viking Times Thanks bunches! Those would be good. Or the great California Gold Rush. WW2 was a good idea too. They could be visiting the Arizona Memorial and find themselves in 1941. Good one, Rachael! I like the future idea too....how about a reverse "Back to the Future". They get transported into the future, but it's not our future but an awful one where they befriend some freedom fighters and it's up to them to return to the 60's to make the changes to save the future. (they'd have found themselves in a computer on a screen in cyberspace!) That one sounds good about a Back to the Future kind of thing...with all the cultural upheavals of the 60's, they'd be sure to find something that could be changed that would save the world... Suddenly today it hit me- what if they go back just a little ways and meet Buddy Holly or Bill Haley and the Comets or someone who really pioneered Rock n' Roll? I think it could be super fun to see how it influences the guys. Or maybe back a little further and they meet someone who's really struggling to make it, like Sammy Davis Jr. or another coloured performer? All these ideas are great! VR3D would be super fun as well! -
