In the top right hand center of the emoticons box is an x inside a box, you click on that to close it out as it does take up a lot of space on your browser as you type.

Does yours just keep changing screens, Sally? I think there may also be a way to chose HOW you view the emoticons. Let me look again and I'll be back, ok?
