I've been listening to her since I was a child, and I'm rarely ever disappointed with her work. Her new album is coming out at the end of May. It sounds like it is going to be very good. You can sample some of it here: http://cyndi.8m.com/ I'm really looking forward to this one. Her last two albums were mostly covers and I liked them, but they were a bit on the dull side.

Sure, I like her stuff. The 80's wouldn't have been the 80's without her. I can't honestly say that I've kept up too well with her current career, though. She had many good songs, and her voice has gotten better over the years. I have just about everything she's ever recorded, even from before She's So Unusual came out, and I like almost everything from all stages of her career. Like with the Monkees. She was in a band that released an album in 1980, and she made a recording of Fleetwood Mac's "You Make Loving Fun". She sounded a lot like Christine McVie on that. I believe this new album will be her 10th studio album. It's hard to say because she released an album in Japan only (it's great), and a couple of albums of remakes. If you count those, and none of her compilations, this is number 10. This will be her first album of all new material in about 6 years. I love the wrestling videos from the 80s that Cyndi appeared in. I find it to have been much more entertaining then than it is now. She was manager for Wendy Richter, and Wendy and some other wrestlers appeared in the Goonies video with Cyndi. I posted it above. Here is Cyndi on Piper's Pit: Roddy Piper Another link.

My mom met him many, many years ago before he became popular in the 80s. I wish wrestling characters were as fun now as they were then.

After the 80s,I lost track of her career,though. Being a wrestling fan,I was delighted by her connection to wrestling through Lou Albano and Wendi Richter. Wendi even guested in the video "She Bop" by Cindi.

He went as Billy Idol (whited-out hair, spiked wristbands), and I went as one of the Duran Duran guys (mousse in the hair, eyeliner). -Tom

It's dance music, but not the typical mindless kind with the same beats and everything. It has a lot of melodies and hooks. It also has a lot more oomph/energy than her last two albums. I keep repeating the songs "Into the Nightlife" and "Echo". They are very cool and the choruses are super catchy. Angela
