Thanks a whole bunch for the list of David's horses.....now, my question is this: which tracks does he run them at? I know the ones he mentioned on his website ....
Forgive me for these ?'s...if they seem like "**sigh**" and "**roll eyes**" queiries, I do apologize to those of you who are so much more in the know........... I've got that wagering channel TVG and although I do not bet, I watch it often and am just curious about which horses are running and at what track....who knows? might see one of 'em?! You can register at virtualstable@equibase.com and they will send you Emails whenever one of the horses you list is entered. The ones you are able to list are Billy Boy, Indiantown Jones, Jessie Jones, TE Jones and Tzar. Indiantown and Jessie are the only ones that have been running recently.

Yep, the virtualstable is the way to go. He has raced at various places. Janb and I have talked to him at several steeplechases in SC, but he doesn't seem to be into that much anymore.

It is more exciting to watch it win. The main problem is that it might be entered on turf and then if the track is bad it has to run on dirt (or mud as the case may be) and Indy is a turf horse.

It was very exciting a few years ago just to see Indiantown come in third! David was VERY proud! Look at that smile!

Two jockeys were injured in the 6th race, one had to go to the hospital, the other just had bumps and bruises. Apparently both horses were ok.
Also in the 6th race, Teuflesberg, a multiple stakes winner this year, injured his left front leg, and was sent to Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington where he is scheduled to undergo surgery. Dream of Angels had to be euthanized prior to the race when he became agitated while being saddled in the paddock and fell over backwards, fracturing his skull. Gold Train, a 52-1 outsider, was pulled up at the beginning of the backstretch with an injury to his right front ankle and had to be euthanized. |

What a nightmare!! My heart goes out to the owners, riders and of course the horses..I'm glad I wasn't there, I wouldn't have been able to handle that one!!

Horrific! And it is even worse when you are the owner, trainer, groom or hot walker. As a hot walker I have been through it, more than once. It is part of the business, but it is always very, very hard.

And to add insult to injury, when the ambulance with Teuflesberg was pulling out of the barn, it ran over the foot of one of the barn workers.
