First of alll Karen and I went to see James at The ClubHouse ( This Old House) Iin my hometown of beautiful San Luis Obispo. We waited til 8:15 p.M. before we got our tickets and chit chatted with James. He is a really sweet guy and very funny., He joked around after realizing Karen's screen name on myspace and thought Peter and Karen were a couple . LOL I gave James a scare when I had a coughing fit I got some water and then he gave me more. What a caring guy. These are the songs he sang World We Left Behind Street where mercy died This Fleeting Moment Let The Tree Fall ( In Honor Of His Late Mom) Just Like Thom Thumbs Blues Fairweather Town Natural Sugar On The Bus Racing The Moon Cowgirls Racing The Moon Make It Tonight Everyday All I Everwanted What Would You Do ( New Song) So we got our pictures with him and he shrunk down for me since I am 5 ft 1 hardy har har lol . Pictures will be coming so. We asked him about remembering you Molly and Nora and to a guy he did not remember.. he drove back to L.A. to before his concert in Woodland Hills, Ca today. so even though he was drained he drove back after the show last night. He also told childhood story that got a hugh laugh. Well there you go. Have A Happy Monkee Day Carolyn and Karen

Six and I always have a GREAT time seeing James Lee Stanley! He's splendid about creating a sense of intimacy and rapport with his audience. And a danged funny guy to boot! James, btw, doesn't know me by the nickname "Molly"...but he DOES know me as "not Peg". (He knows Six as "What's-His-Name". Hehe!!) Between the high heat up here requiring continual surveillance of the property to pre-empt fire danger as well as the thunderstorms we had last night, Six and I were unable to make a commitment to the Woodland Hills house party, although we really really REALLY wanted to go! So Six said we should contribute to the man anyway by buying a couple of his CDs as a consolation. Time to go shopping! ^^^^^^^^^^^^ My fansite: The Monkees @ FashionState.Com Can you dig it?

I'm so glad that you and Karen were able to go to this concert and had such a good time! I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures. I've never had the pleasure of seeing James Lee Stanley in concert either with or without Peter, but I have all of the CDs that he and Peter did together, and I love his songs and stories just as much I love Peter's! I think he is a very talented musician, singer, songwriter, and humorous storyteller. Plus, he seems to be an all-around down-to-earth nice guy as well! I don't have any of his solo CDs yet, but I've been wanting to get some. "Racing The Moon" and "All I Ever Wanted" are both on at least one of the CDs that I have, but I'm not familiar with the other songs you've listed yet. I'll bet I'd like them, though!
