But actually I kinda wanna Change my name to Wolf, but can't I think. lol (And think it would be a little more work then necessary to switch to another account and have that accepted here lol) Lemme think of some basics to start. Loved the Monkees for as long as I can remember My actual favorite can't choose between Micky or Mike.... Peter is up there to. Davy's charming but I never liked teenage models... if less people were fan girl squeal it be better lol Current day though.. RL monkees, especially up to date I'd say Micky and Davy probably. They embrace their Monkee history the most and stuck with it longest back in the day. So basically summed up all they are equal lol I'm rather insane... I scare people a lot and have a horrible sense of humor... Which I'll have to keep hidden here a lot lol I'm 17 erm... 18 really... as of July 6th. Recently I've gotten back into the Monkees 9and hippie fashion with that) and now am on a mad hunt for as many beads (hemp necklaces work to) as i can... I think they are good looking... always have actually , it's just res-parked again. I like almost no tv shows that i watch each week. Doctor Who Torchwood Top Gear Bones used ot be on it, but they ditched my favorite character in a horribly stupid way so I ditched the show. Even if he DID come back i wont watch out of principal. I recently graduated High School, I was in the band, percussion (never learned drumset though) So things like Mike's speech in The Devil and Peter Tork hit me in a place it would only hit a musician. Even if it was written by writers and not him, it's still true.(mostly) um.... I love animals and fantasy (dragons and werewolves being my favorite) Tis all i can think of for now.. i'll post more random facts later... its 2 in the morning lol -Wolf |

Peter was my first favorite back in the beginning - I was a hippie wannabe at the age of 12 1/2 in '67 you see...but by the time season 2 started Micky
took over 1st place, lol. I thought he was sooo hot, lol. And his singing voice was divine, still is. But really, I love them all.
I have watched Bones sometimes too, while I'm waiting for House that comes on afterwards. If you go to the Monkeeshines forum, you'll find a thread on Dr. Who...perhaps you can add something to the discussion there. Several of our members these days watch Dr. Who. You say what....hemp necklaces??

and yea.. hemp necklaces. You know how hemp is so much more then just drugs It's health food to (high in protein, NO no highness lol) and makes things... bags, clothes, rope.. ext I have gotten a hemp necklace now... plain... feels like regular rope. lol Haven't gotten any big bead necklaces yet (like Peter's in that Daydream Believer or Pleasant Valley Sunday clip music thingy at the ends of the episodes) never cared about Bones the show.. only one character lol |

Wolf, you are right about the hemp....I recall hearing that it was used for those thick ropes on ships in the Navy in the early part of the 20th century.

I probably joined when you weren't around, but welcome back to Monkeeland, mikenesmithlover, and congratulations on graduating from high school!
When I was in high school, I also got very into hippie-style fashions and making love beads and such, and it was also inspired by my interest in The Monkees.  I still have a lot of the beads and some of the clothes I
wore back then, and I still wear them too! (Well, the stuff that still fits, anyway.  ) As for my favorite Monkee, I also used to switch back and forth
so much between all four of the guys that I finally gave up trying to choose and just decided to be an "April Conquest" and love them all!

And I had hoped that 2006,2007 and 2008 would be big 40th Anniversary years for the Monkees,but nothing is happening at all in the way of tributes or specials.

Yea. The hemp. I know that they used to use it as mighty fine rope... the necklace feels like rope as well. plus its good for many things. AND is a health
food. lol
My favs are truthfully in flux between mostly Micky Peter and Mike lol Hello BottleTops lol Yea.. I want necklaces and 60s fashion. but GOSH it is all so expensive I can't afford the jewelry (beads and such) LET ALONE the clothes. If it weren't for computers, I'd have been born in the wrong time... (only thing that keeps me from completely hating being born in '90) I know.... it makes me so so sad they there isn't. If there was something to happen I would be there.... even if it put me in debt (which it would) But I see nothing about it. *is sad I'll never meet any of them let alone together*I DID meet Davy once at a signing thing. But he was just signing things. Nice but hardly as good as seeing one or more then one at a concert. |

Well Wolf, you came to the right place to find out where/if Micky, Davy, or Peter will be performing in your area, so that you can get a chance to see
them....their concert schedules are updated regularly, and you can check the dates out in their forums at the top thread. Peter even goes across to England and
Scotland sometimes.

lol thats cool.
But trust me... no one comes here. Ever. Maybe once in a blue moon someone will preform in the rialto theater, but thats about it. Its usually expensive anyway. The closest place there is to people preforming is chicago and thats expensive. lol But I'll keep an eye out. lol yea i know this place is very official, though kinda strict, still has all the official... things going on and usually one of the first to know and a good place to be sure it's not just a rumor. I'm not new to the monkees or the sites lol Just recently I was looking for a certain fanfiction and was amazed that i remembered the sites I hit while going there, and when i read a name it made me remember the author. I was truly amazed lol Sad though that I knew and know most of the decent sites. Hardly any was active then lol. Oh well lol yea i'll be going to that thread later, I've rambled now. |
