After 18 month in NC I go home to New Jersey for good this weekend. It is very emotional time leaving co-worker and few close friends but now I go home to family and life long friends there. Internet will be disconnected tomorrow morning BUT I bought mobile broadband internet to stay connected. It work just as good as regular broadband as far I can tell. Next week, we get EVDO router to share signal on different computer. My internet time in near future be decreased because of the move and just to readjust with family. That will also settle and I be able to do what I normally usually do soon. I hope everyone a have safe happy Memorial day weekend. We do 600 mile drive back sometime tomorrow and I am most thrilled to be going back home Undying devotion to Badge 21257

We not have jobs but job leads at this point (I was not happy about that), BUT we live with family and we not have to worry too much financially-for now. I would feel more relieved if we had jobs to go to on arrival. We are taking the week of Memorial Day for relaxing and seeing people. I am using a laptop now-thank goodness for advance technology. My desktop it is all dismantled and in boxes. I will give frequent updates as time allows. Undying devotion to Badge 21257

I'm sorry that your moving plans have been put on hold for now, but I hope that things will all work out for the best for you and your husband, Li. Your descriptions of being "surrounded by boxes" does remind me of a sitcom! Did you ever see that episode of I Love Lucy where Lucy and Ricky think they are going to move, but then their plans fall through and they end up having to move all their stuff in with Fred and Ethel until they can get their own apartment back? There are some pretty hilarious moments in that episode with boxes and furniture blocking all the doors and stuff, but I know from experience that it's not nearly so funny when you're actually living it! (My bedroom in my parents' house was like that when I moved back home temporarily a few months before I got married.) Hang in there! I hope you'll be able to come up with a good arrangement soon.
