What about a creating YouTube sticky ? - since so many of us are referencing Monkees-related clips.

Excellent!! There's even the entire eppie of Alias Micky Dolenz there in sections....lol, curious/obsessive me had weeded through the whole "Monkees" subject line in mid-August and decided to keep myself updated by checking back regularly.

 Anyway, I look up Monkees in YouTube and then select Date Added to see new ones. Today I found one about the New Monkees (someone just uploaded a bunch of New Monkees stuff) well, in this clip is a brief interview with Davy about his opinion the New Monkees project. ....and I just HAD to go searching for THIS one I had found. It gave me shivers, set to the tune the poster picked! Lol, but that's how I felt at 13 about 'em. I am absolutely certain once all the gals take a look, they'll have the same reaction.

alrighty then! and here's something I found already...an interview with a man named Eddie Foy III, part four of ten. He was the head of casting at Screen Gems from the late 50's to the early 80's, and talks all about the Monkees for a few minutes. Here's how to access that: Type in the word video in the Google address thing. A page comes up after clicking that says Google, click on videos new, then Monkees in the search. Go to page 3 and scroll down until you see "Archive of American Television Interviews with Eddie Foy III Part 4 of 10". He mentions the Monkees at 7:55 and talks till 13:14 about them. It is a really good interview about the "Monkees Project", tells you where they were coming from when they got together. I can't seem to find one of those httpthings for it.

Here is something cool, the Monkees got a mention on Fark.com in the video section about their appearance on Johnny Cash, sadly, very few comments. A lot of comments would have been more fun... Fark is a great place to find crazy news stories and comments about them.

That "Hooked On a Can Can" one was totally awesome! I can't even imagine how many hours of editing that must have taken! The movements were often so perfectly synced to the music, and I loved the various "themes" throughout the piece (i.e., getting knocked out, falling down, Monkees in drag, Monkees doing "fright takes," etc.)! Thanks so much for that link, saturdayschild23!

 Thanks for those, Rachel! That "Sorority Girls" one is pretty creepy, but funny too. I think I kind of remember both of those from the original run of the show! Mike does have a bit of a.... shall we say an "unusual" sense of humor, wouldn't you say? That's it! Somehow I couldn't get a link to work, thanks! I really like what he says about them though, I think he captures their inception right and the surrounding ambiances of the times. Notice about the guys themselves, he talks pretty favorably.
