Fanfic Idea... sort of.... Please Read
I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in a role-playing type Monkees fanfiction where each person plays.... themselves!! I've done this before on a LotR site, and it was really fun!! I have an example of a beginning that I typed up one night when I was bored, so take a look:
Take a Giant Step
Marmadas looked at the clock on her computer screen, blinked, then looked again. "12:30?" she asked herself, "Is it really that late?" She looked at the website she was browsing, "Hmmm..." she said, "Another new story on the fanfic section. I'll just look at that and then head to bed." She glanced at the name of the one who started the story, but didn't reconise it. The thread was named Take a Giant Step (fanfic) and the author was Into_my_world. Happy at the prospect of a new fanfic fan on the site, Marm clicked the link....

With an earsplitting WHOOSH! she found herself being sucked into the computer screen! Colors and lights swirled around her as she found herself being pulled through an otherwise empty void. She heard strains of a song, but had trouble making it out. However, after a while she was able to make out some shapes of people who appeared to be dancing, and the song became more and more distinctly Take a Giant Step.
With a crash she landed on the floor of a room full of teenagers moving this way and that in time to the music. A couple of the teens looked at her, but then went back to their dancing. Confused at where she was, she stared at the people around her. She noticed their clothing was odd, very sixties. As she looked around, however she noticed two things that assured her where she was. First, the sign on the counter of the discotheque and all the menus clearly stated: Vincent Van Goh-Goh. Second, and most important, she noticed who was playing on the bandstand: The Monkees!
So, I'm thinking that each of us could be sucked into our computers and into the world of the TV show Monkees! Each person may write his or herself and any of the Monkees or others we come in contact with. You may not, however, write for eachother, 'cause nobody likes that!! Of course, you can make someone answer a question or something, but don't write from their perspective. Preferably we want everyone to end up in the same place: The Vincent Van Goh-Goh, unless you join late.... This can be really fun, so join in!! Anyone's welcome, even if you've never written before. Who's easier to write for than yourself???
Please just post if you're interested right now. If we get enough bites I'll actually make this a Take a Giant Step thread.... so, any takers??
