The ID badge idea came up because we thought it would be fun to be able to recognize one another at shows. You might be sitting right beside me at a concert and not know who I am, and thinking, "Why doesn't that girl get her big head out of my way!" rather than jumping up and down hugging me and screaming, "I can't believe it's you!" which I think we can all agree would be way more fun. So we decided to have some official looking badges made up with our pretty blue background and our snazzy logo and your user name right on it, so that instead of complaining about my big head, you can say, "Bettina! It's me, so and so!" and we'll jump and hug and all that.
