Nora, I like your hair. And I was just looking at your Christmas pic again and your daughter is absolutely beautiful and your son is cute as a bug's ear. (I wonder how that expression started. Have you ever seen an ear on a bug?

Jen, I can't even find the words to describe Hoover Dam - it is SO massive. The engineering is incredible, and when you look at the wide lake on one side (Lake Mead) and the narrow, winding Colorado River on the other - I was blown away (and not just because it was windy! <g>)

What a cool picture Petey. Is that your room? It's awesome! Wish mine looked like that, lol! All right, I guess I'll share some of my pictures now... The following pics were taken at Belle Isle in Detroit and the Detroit Zoo back when I was visiting friends in April, 2007.  First off, let me say, there are some MAD turtles at the Detroit Zoo! I was about to post a whole long list of responses to all the new (and some of the older) pix, but I just got a call from my son's school saying that he's not feeling well, so I've gotta go over and pick him up. I hope I'll get a chance to post again later today or tonight.

Thanks for your concern, folks (and Jen for the haircut compliment). Yeah, I'm afraid he probably has caught my cold, which is a really bad one.
And since I'm still suffering from it after more than a week, I'm kind of worried about how he'll be. I'm supposed to see my own doctor
tomorrow morning, and I'll probably bring my son to the pediatrician after that so that I can relay whatever feedback I got from my doctor to his doctor. I
hope that made sense.:giggle Sorry to go off topic on this thread, but I had to leave abruptly this morning and wanted to explain why. If I have any updates
tomorrow, I'll try to post them in Monkeeshines in the "Most Popular" thread or something.
And now, back to the picture comments... Cindi, I do remember seeing that picture before it "vanished," but what's even funnier is that it gave me a sense of deja vu at the time, and I had to go back to page 1 of this thread to figure out why. Check out Viv's post and pic from 6/19/06. Look familiar? :scott Heidi, I like your haircut and your outfit too!:yes Is that the same picture you're using for your avatar now? Chrissy, I've been meaning to mention this since you posted some pix back in December. You look so different in that picture of you that you said was taken in the bathroom that I would not have guessed it was you. Maybe it's because you're not wearing any make-up, but you look like a little girl in that one -- very sweet and vulnerable. I like the other pix too, especially the one of you at work. I love Godiva chocolates!:drool It must be hard to maintain will-power working in a place like that! Petey, that's a great picture of you, and the Monkees and other rock & roll memorabilia in your living room is awesome! Jen, you've got to go to The Bronx Zoo in New York sometime. You can actually crawl inside a giant turtle shell and be the turtle at the Children's Zoo there! I like all the pix of you and Shannon too, and I recognize that cartoon Monkees shirt you're wearing in one of them! I can't remember if you posted a picture of it here once or if I saw it on e-bay, but I remember seeing a picture of it on its own (i.e., nobody wearing it). It's vintage too, isn't it? So cool! Edit: Can you guys see the emoticons in this post? They showed up in the preview, but when I look at the post on the board, I just see the text that I typed in to create them. :help

my hair is Auburn Brown now since I colored it last night. I love everyone's pics.
Little tip about colds, I read about this online. Put a tiny bit of Hydrogen Peroxide in your ear, let it sit about five minutes and it will tickle and make fizzy sounds. Then let it the peroxide drip out onto a tissue and repeat on other side. I've been using this tip since I found out about it last year and I haven't had a cold in almost a year. Home remedies I try since I have no health insurance. *HUGS* hope everyone is feeling better soon! Love always, Cheri
