1. I am an electronic nut and I'm also very lazy, so I designed a fantastic control panel by my bed. It switches the radio on and off, and the tv on and off, and changes stations. It also turns the phone off and the light off (Nora's note: my husband's kind of guy!). Now, I'm working on an automatic digital phone-dialing system, using stepping relays. All it really means is that I don't have to use my little pinkie to dial your number any more.
2. When I was 16, I climbed Mt. Whitney (the tallest mountain in the USA)-it is like 14, 000 feet high. Three guys and I decided to do it. Why? Like the man said, "cause it's there".
3. I'm also an outdoor nut. When I was 17, I took a camping trip to Lake Peru, CA. Way up in the hills, the car went dead-20 miles from anything. I had taken a survival course and I managed quite well, without anything and without any help for the two days it took me to get back to civilization.
4. My big dream is to buy a Lotus Formula 3 racing car. It has a top speed of 140 mph (Nora's note: hey, so does my minivan!
5. I was lead singer for the Missing Links for 4 months when I was 19. I also played guitar for that group. It consisted of these 4 guys who were my
friends and myself. We worked in Dever, CO. at La Pitcher. WHen we were in Denver recently on tour, I drove by La Pitcher and looked in. It was really a
flash.
6. I was ten years old when I started on "Circus Boy" and I was in it almost three years, leaving the show just before I turned 13. I started going
to public school and I didn't dig it. I didn't like parties and clubs. I liked to do simple things-like building tree houses. People thought I was
absurd so I built a wall around me and became a sad caricature of myself.
7. Now, I've learned not to worry about what people think and just to be me, and to be free. I'm very open and I have learned to be that way by
"uncluttering my mind".
8. I love young people-most children are very wise and beautiful. I groove doing things with people who are about three years younger than me.
9. I am childish and I am glad-but that doesn't mean I'm immature. There is a difference between childish innocence and shallow immaturity. I used to
be indecisive and wavering. I would always ask others their opinion about what I should do, etc. But I have learned that you can't really be happy unless
you do what you really want to do-as long as you don't hurt anyone, including yourself.
10. I'm writing a song called "It's All in Your Mind". It is, you know. It's all right there in your mind-and don't forget athat.
Your mind is beautiful-open it, but protect it. Don't let anyone or anything mess up your mind.
