Hope the Easter bunny is good to you all! (hey, how'd Santa sneak in there?) Our church has an Easter egg hunt/brunch/floral cross at 9:00, followed by the service at 10:00. There's also one at 8:00, but that's a little too early. I don't miss the days of having to do 6:00 am sunrise services! When I was an intern we'd always have our sunrise service down at the marina and one year it was so cold I almost couldn't play the guitar for "Morning Has Broken"!

They always sing "Christ Arose" and "He Lives" on Easter at Church, and I love to sing them. But unless the organist shows up because it is Easter I will have to play the piano. More people should be there anyway. The majority of the people in Oakland go to the Lutheran church. It is the big fancy church with the spire. Sally B.

That is a nice feeling. We had a nice Easter here. Church stuff this morning followed by the dog and I going for a long walk and dinner with my folks this afternoon. The church service was really nice and everyone who wanted to sang the "Hallelujiah Chrous" at the end. One funny thing happened to me, though. My son had to go potty about five minutes before church started, but didn't quite make it. I had to toss the pullup he had on and didn't have another one handy, so I had to walk him to the nursery with his shirt covering his bare behind, and there is no "backway" through to the nursery, so he had to walk through the sanctuary in all his glory, with the church completely packed! I would have just slipped his pants back on but he is adamant about not wearing pants without anything underneath. We finally did make it there and got him re-dressed, pull-up and all, whew!
