I saw some of your posts over there! Wow! I knew you liked "Price", but I had no idea you were as knowledgeable as you are. Way to go! I'm really looking forward to the DVD set--can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm with some of the others over there that including all 5 of Bob's shows from his last week as host is a little "overkill", but I think all of the vintage episodes more than make up for that. And never having seen the original incarnation of the show with Bill Cullen, I'm really kind of interested in what those will be like. Shane Keep an eye out for Public Enemies!

Actually, a lot of my knowledge for TPIR came from reading the FAQ section on GoldenRoad.net, fans should read it because there's a lot of neat information there. I'm also looking forward to the new DVD set, which is being released on March 25. Most of the episodes on the set are from 1972-75, which is great because we'll be seeing at least four retired pricing games and the brown set. Also included are Bob's final week of shows and four Bill Cullen episodes. I think the current season of TPIR is the best out of recent years. Drew Carey is doing a great job, his sense of humour adds to the show. They've changed the set, the music, the light border at the opening, the models are wearing bikinis again, the split-screen shot of the showcase showdown is back, they're back to using four models in a show, and they're giving away foreign cars again (after an absense of 15 years). A Canadian Monkees Fan!

What do you think of the set so far? I've gotten through the first few Cullen episodes so far. I intend to watch a lot more tomorrow night and Thursday, when I don't have to worry about being up for work, and can have a day off to watch. Boy, TPIR sure was a much different show with Bill Cullen in the 50's and early 60's. He looks a lot different from the Bill I remember from shows he hosted in the 80's like "Chain Reaction", "Blockbuster" and "Joker's Wild". I thought it was pretty wild that they were offering guns as prizes on the show, too. I had to laugh when I saw that smiling model pick up a couple of rifles and pretend to shoot. BCI did a good job in selecting episodes. It was interesting to watch Bill Cullen's version of 'TPIR' because some of the prizes were actually houses. An excellent set! A Canadian Monkees Fan!
