If there was a big-screen Monkees movie made today,who would Hollywood get to play Micky,Mike,Davy & Peter? The movie would take place in the 60s,but who from the present would be good choices for the kees?

I think we talked in the Dolenz forum about several contendents for his role, including Adam Brodey.
The guy who plays "Earl" on "My Name is Earl" just might make a good Mike. (I think his name is James Lee). As for the other two I'll have to think some more! Nora |

Mark Owen from Take That would make a good Davy, as would Mike Myers (except Mike is a bit too old). I think Daniel Craig looks a bit like Peter but he would probably be too old. Will Ferrel would make a good Micky but he's a little to heavy and, again, probably too old. How about Clive Owen for Mike (he'd have to master the Texan accent though) xxx Viv xxx |

If you are talking about doing another Bio-Pic, I am not sure who out there would be good enough to play the lads/
Now that being said, I would be in favor of seeing a fantasy comedy Monkees adventure film produced by a studio like Dreamworks (Shrek) and create the Monkees characters ala CGI. In fact you can get the 4 guys to do the Voice overs. Then they can work together without actually working together. Heck, I would really like to see The Long Sandy Hair of Neftoon Zamora done as a CGI movie. I think that particular story would lend itself well to that genre of media. That would be a cool platform for Nez to showcase his creative acumen and produce, score the music, and maybe even voiceover the protagonist in the story. I think his name was Nez too. Too easy and perfect

It would be cool to see Neftoon Zamora made into a movie too. Yes, Nez could play "Nez", but I want to be Neffie!
