 ) I only met one other person who did not have a middle name...I married him.

My middle name is Ann. My mom always called me by my first and middle names ,Mary Ann. Do you know when someone asked me my middle name once they said in
confusion, "Mary Ann Ann?" DUH!!

My youngest son's name is Thomas Michael (after certain Monkees). When he was small I would always call him Tommy, or Thomas Michael. Someone asked his
name, I said it was Thomas. He said, "No!" He insisted it was ThomasMichael, all one word, he didn't know it was two words.

Veronica, named after my maternal grandmother Vera.
Who is Roman Catholic? Because then there would also be a "confirmation" name, though I don't think people refer to that one much through life. I have one, Doreen, because my godmother for the confirmation was my Aunt Dorothy.

My confirmation name is Lucy, which is also my maternal grandmother's name. My middle name is Marie. A fairly common one I've noticed.
I have a cousin, Nancy, with the middle name Ann, and we always called her Nancy Ann when she and I were growing up in the 80s. When we got to our teens, I think she was trying to drop it. But it still comes out now and then. Her sister would always call her the nickname Sissy (she still does, and my brother still uses it for me), and for some reason, our uncle would call her Sissy Ann. I always found that to be funny. It sounds so weird.
