Just 5 more days (actually, 4 1/2) until I leave for Orlando and 5 days to play at Disney - and of course to see Davy at Epcot. I understand it's going to
be hot and humid, which I'm actually looking forward to!
Hope to see lots of Monkeelanders there!

Have fun stay cool (if possible) take lots of pics, looking forward to full report. I won't be going this year and neither will my friend Kathy, she missed
the Elgin concert cause she slipped on some ice the day before and was in the hospital. My friend from England and her friend are going. We both figured out
that this year is goin to be a Davyless year. Kathy has not seen Davy yet this year and I have so far only seen him once. and probably won't until June
and then November, I probably goin skip the Indiana concerts, cause for one gas is expensive and I am not too great on outdoor concert of first come first get
seats, unless it is real close to Chicago. The only exception is Epcot. So when I do see him in June I probably will enjoy the show more, I was getting
Davy-burn-out. Besides I have a house to de-clutter and a yard to do(for my mom). I'll be very busy.

JMPOTTER..right there with you..gas prices are keeping me in Maryland. Most concerts are midwest and beyond. I don't see any concerts this year coming my
way. Unless of course one pops up in this area. I can't do Disney..too hot and humid for me. Love the shows there though..hope everyone has a great time!!

Seeing David THREE times in one year is NOT Davyless. I have no prospects of seeing him at all, and I envy you for the three times. You are lucky he comes
anywhere near. Davy burnout? What is that?! (And don't anyone accuse me of being nasty, I'm not. It's not meant that way, just sadness that I
can't see him.)

No, they are a lot closer to you. Chicago is 500 miles away from Omaha. The Missouri concerts were even farther because they are the other side of Missouri.
The closest would be KC and it is private. The Minnesota would be the closest, I suppose, but still far away without a car. I would be able to travel to Des
Moines, Iowa or Kansas City, or Omaha of course by bus. I would still have to get to Omaha somehow to start out. We have no transportation out of Oakland
except by car - no bus or train or anything. But believe me, if he came close enough I would bribe someone to take me to Omaha. Bribe means probably have to
pay an arm and a leg's worth of money for gas.
 Omaha is about 65 miles from here. So far it looks as if I
am completely out of luck for this year - and next.

Davyless, compare to the last 3 years. And burn-out for me is when you go to, too many shows and they all seem to sound a-like, you can close your eyes and
repeat the jokes and you can almost fall asleep, the show does not excite you, you don't enjoy it, or take many pics,(only record video if he does a song,
you have not heard him sing) that is burn-out for me. For me it does not take much.

My hubby and I will be at a wonderful cabin high up a mountain in lovely cool (I hope) North Carolina while you guys sweat!
 I didn't even realize it
was the same week as Epcot until recently But all of you who go.. have a BLAST!!!
And Sally, you never know what dates may come... so don't lose hope!

Shoot Sally B., we're all paying an arm and leg for gas..but I understand your point. I'm trying to stay in this area this year..I'd rather be
Davyless than pennyless.. Not that I mind spending the money..economy is just bad right now and people are being more cautious with their money. I had a great
time last summer driving around but I'm afraid the van will be seeing a lot more of the drive way instead of the highway...

Say, since Jones seems to be teaming up with Cassidy for a number of shows in the not too distant future, I wonder if they can still get access to the Patridge
Family bus. May be a much more economical means of transportation.

They may as well team up--they seem to be following each other venue wise..Davy at Epcot, David at Epcot..David at Penn's Peak..Davy at Penn's Peak..etc. Shoot if they had th Partridge Family Bus they wouldn't be able to afford to fill it up!! We'd never get to see them in concert! Unless of curse they converted that one into a hybrid! Gail |

A hybrid...now that's what I need! I had wanted to go to Epcot, but the
price of gas is simply too high. Shame, especially since I was planning on meeting up with Christine and Emily.  Oh well, maybe next year!

I remember your truck and that it was a hybrid and I'm sure it got better gas mileage than my car. BUT the Toyota Hybrid is a much smaller vehicle and I'm sure it will get even better gas mileage than the truck. Personally I think the blue one's are pretty--but then again I'm partial to blue. Hope you folks have a great time in Epcot..good weather and all that stuff!! Gail |

My truck gets good gas mileage for a truck in its category. But it doesn't really get good mileage at all, which is why I need to get rid of it. I love my truck, and hate the idea of getting rid of it. I haven't owned a car since the 70's. But sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do... I will miss you at Epcot. Your funny and sarcastic little remarks along the way always made my day. JanB |

Maybe next year!! I'll miss not seeing the "guy"..especially since the concerts look grim for the east coast this year. I'll be able to save alot of money before May of next year..until then.. Gail Glad you like my remarks..it just comes "naturally"!
