The syringes I get look and operate like fat ball point pens. You just hold one end against your leg, click the other end, and that's it. Only stings a
little.
Will do my best to take some good photos of the Great White North!

I wish you lived closer to Calgary-Banff too, Petey!
On Monday night we're taking in a comedy dinner theater show called "Oh Canada, Eh?" It made me think of you, having done work on and behind the stage.

I'm in a bit of a mood tonight. Yes, believe it or not, I'm not always "goodness and sweetness and lightness".

Nora,I understand what you mean. After Chrissy and I got married and John was first born in 1989,Mothers Day was still us going to my parents house and meeting
up with my sisters and their families and in a nutshell, gathering to honor my mother on her day. Sure Chrissy got Mothers Day wishes all around, but the
get-together was for my Mom. When we went home that evening,a few friends dropped by and wished Chrissy her first Mothers Day. I guess that when my sisters
went home, they celebrated the holiday, too,in that way.
Same with Fathers Day. Looking back now that my Mother is gone,I am glad we celebrated that way. But I can understand your frustration.

Tom- that show, just from the title, sounds great! I'm off to a comedy dinner theatre tonight, but I have no idea what the show is- turns out they had the
wrong one listed on the website! One of my classmates got the idea to all get together for it as a 'before everyone leaves for summer' sendoff. (Funny,
I just came back from my summer vacation!
Ah, memories... I was a waitress at a school dinner theatre back in high school.... us females were all referred to as 'wenches', as it was a Three Musketeers show!

I love my New Balance shoes. That's the only brand of sneakers I wear.

Hmmmmm......hey Shane, got any shoes that don't make your feet hurt while on your feet all day? I'm looking for a pair of new shoes that fits that
description. Maybe there isn't one out there??? I just know that when I come home from work, my feet are throbbing.

I don't think I've ever tried New Balance, but hey Cindy- if you can find Tredsafe, they're my personal favourite! I got my first pair at Wal Mart
when I started working at KFC, and they were sooo comfy. Their sneakers are my favourite. I'm not sure what they make other than solid black sneakers and
dressier work shoes, though.

cindycinnamon wrote: New Balance is a good brand to choose, I think. I also see lots of people buying Nike Air Max as a good everyday kind of shoe. But everybody is different. A lot has to do with how your foot strikes--wether you over or under pronate and stuff. Shane

Cindy, New Balance are the only tennies I wear. (And Shane didn't pay me to say that either!
I know on the gas price thread some of us have been discussing the rising cost of groceries as well. Anyone growing their own produce? I'm going to
put in some lettuce and cucumbers.

Petey, I will look the next time I head over to Wally World for that brand you mentioned.
I just might buy two pairs of shoes. Thanx Nora for the endorcement. Hehehehehe!!! I wear just one pair of shoes to work..(cuz it's all I have). I bought them from Rack Room Shoes around my birthday. Some kind of Eurpoean shoe (almost like a clog, but kinda has a closed back). I splurged and spent the $50.00 dollars on them. They are comfy, but if I'm in them longer than 9 hours, my feet start to hurt.

Cindy, I think if you're in any shoe for more than 9 hours your feet will start to hurt!

I was watching a story they had not long ago on 20/20 and they interviewed a guy who collected sneakers and he was saying how he wouldn't think of spending
$1,000 for a pair of sneakers to use for jogging. I cannot grasp that concept. I'm with Cindy. I've splurged and spent $50.00 on a pair, but that's
not often.

The best deal I ever got on shoes was when I went into Wal Mart in the States- they had one pair of Tredsafe shoes- my size- on for $10! They had a whole shelf
full of the shoes, but only the one pair was marked down. I still don't know why. In Canada I'd pay about $35 for the shoes- in the States, their
regular price was about $25 or so. Like Nora, I'm also hard to fit--- but I'm a wide foot... and a size 11!

I have huge feet, I'm a size 8 or 8.5 Wide and I have flat feet. So I can't even wear heels.

For some reason, finding the larger sizes of shoes around here proves to be difficult.

Aspie- you have small feet compared to me!
I don't think I've ever fit an 8--- smallest I remember ever being was a 9, and that was when I was
10 years old! I do remember cramming my size 11 feet into a pair of size 9 boots for Halloween one year, though--- man alive, never again! That was the year I
was one of the Monkeemen.
