10 days of sunshine and warm weather, except today was cold, sunny, and windy. It was beach weather yesterday in this picture.

It is supposed to be below freezing tonight. I am waiting for a forcast to decide whether to bring my geraniums in or cover them. They have to be transplanted into pots. Okay, the forecast just came on. 29 for the low and 61 for the high tomorrow and 41 for the low tomorrow night, so I guess I will cover them and hope for the best.

Where I live, a wind warning has been issued for tomorrow. Apparently, we are getting the remnants of Hurricane Noel, mostly winds and rain(we always seem to get the tail end of hurricanes here). I may not be here for a while in case the power goes out.

When we had Hurricane Juan in 2003, the extensive damage was in Charlottetown and Kings County. Trees were blown over in Victoria Park and by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (I know this because we had to take dad for some tests there a few days later). Where I live, we didn't have any damage to our house and trees weren't blown down. The same day as the hurricane (after the wind and rain died down), a provincial election was going on during the power outage (they couldn't cancel it because of the Elections P.E.I. act).

Hope the hurricane doesn't affect you too much, Heidi!

We're having unseasonably warm weather here. Lows at night in the upper 40s, but 75-77 and sunny during the day. Last weekend it was really warm and dry, with very still air. I kept telling my husband it was earthquake weather. A few days later, there was an earthquake!

Noel has passed, no damage to my house, just a few trees knocked down here and there in some places. The power went out for a minute and came back on. The sun is shining, but it's still a little windy.

It got down to 38 last night, but it didn't hurt any of my veggies, herbs or flowers. And it is predicting low of 41 tonight, so thats not in the 30's at least.
