The yardwork isn't a drag. I kind of enjoy it,after being stuck indoors alot in the winter. We've got the green shrubs/trees lining the one side of the
house and they need trimmed. They are each about 7 feet tall and since I'm about 6'3",I guess I'm elected.

Well, I had a pretty nice day today. I went with my Mom and Stepdad to a greenhouse/nursery and picked out some flowers for outside for the summer months. I
found several varieties of the flower pictured below, called lantana. I had never heard of these before. I thought it was really cool how the blooms
contained flowers that are a variety of different colors. I picked out a bunch of these.

Chrissy and both daughters looked at the pics of the flowers and made alot of "Oooh's" and "Ahhh's".

The care instructions say they take full sun and do well in the heat. That's one reason why I especially liked these. Anything I put outside needs to be
able to take full sun.
Plus, and Angie will like this, it says that they attract butterflies. Shane

I don't see any flowers????? And I like yardwork except for the mosquitoes, I am allergic to them.

I'll see what I can do. I have to buy a new memory card for my camera before the Waukesha trip on Thursday. Hopefully I won't use all of it up at the

Eeek, I think I have some sort of eye infection. My contacts didn't feel right yesterday and last night my left eye still hurt even after I'd removed
them. I do have glasses that I wear mostly in the evening, but I've become so used to my contacts that I don't care to wear the glasses when I'm
out and about, especially driving. At least I have an appt. with the O.D. tomorrow afternoon. I had something like this last year and it just took some drops
to clear up.
We have VBS (Vacation Bible School) this week for the kids and I've been helping out with the snacks-fun! |
