 whcih really sucks because when i breathe i cough. and i still have a lowgrade fever.

My husband and daughter got back this afternoon from their first Y-Guides campout (they were called "Indian Guides" when I was a kid). It's
basically a group fathers/daughters who do montly activities, like a Pine Box Derby, seeing a minor league ball game, etc. They had a great time and I'm
so glad! They had no cell phone reception up there, so it was a little weird not to have any contact with them for over 48 hours. On the other hand, it gave
my son, who just had a birthday, a couple days to play with his new toys in peace!

Yeah, no kidding, Ray. I was just talking with Cindy and Beets that we were lucky to get out of Waukesha when we did because that area got the worst of the
severe flooding on Sunday. I imagine that probably put the ka-bosh on the last day of their festival there.
We got a lot of heavy rain here Saturday night and through the day on Sunday, causing some street flooding, but it's been dry over the past two days and that's helped out tremendously. Now there's a rain chance coming again on Thursday. I just hope it's not the torrential downpour we got over the weekend. And I hear that you guys on the east coast are getting a lot of hot and humid weather. I honestly don't know which one is worse. Shane

Well,the hot and humid weather is gone for now,thank goodness. It's 66 as I sit here at 10:30pm and it's supposed to go down to 56 tonight. Finally.
We really got hammered with the hot & humid weather and it's nice to finally have a break.

Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday. He wanted to go see our local minor league baseball team play, so that's what we're doing. I'm more of a
baseball fan than he is, but he does enjoy going to the games. Then my daughter's birthday is on Sunday (Father's Day) and her best friend's b-day
is the 14th! Whew! I'll be glad when all these birthdays/celebrations are done!

me! My younger son's birthday sometimes comes out on or right before or after Father's Day too, and we usually have a joint celebration then with 2
cakes! This year we've got Father's Day, followed by
my older son's middle school graduation, followed by my younger son's birthday, so I know what you mean about being exhausted at the thought of so much
celebrating in such a short time! It's best to enjoy and make the most of them all, though, and I'm sure we will!

Too bad there's no real substitute for sleep! I have to be
up for the day in about 3 hours, but I was up late dealing with some stuff and just needed to unwind for a while. I wish I could borrow those 3 extra hours
from you West Coast folks to give me a chance to get the extra 
s that I need, but since I can't, I guess I'd
better at least go to sleep now and try to make it as restful and relaxed a sleep as possible. Good night all.
