Back in late 2007, while reading transcripts from Micky's radio show, I saw that he mentioned Monkeeland.
And then, while doing a search for more information about him and the other guys, I actually found it!

I have no recollection of finding Monkeeland. I know that this summer will mark my seventh year as a member, but how exactly I found the site is beyond me O:-)

That's what I thought,Shane. I remember a Mod saying that to their knowledge,no Monkee has ever visited here. As for the Monkees knowing about a website
devoted to them and they would visit because of that,I don't know. I figure there are hundreds of thousands of websites devoted to the Beatles and the
Rolling Stones,but Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney probably can't be bothered with going there.
It would be nice if one of the Monkees would actually pop in and say a quick "Hello".

J. K. Rowling has actually visited some of the websites which are devoted to Harry Potter. On her own website, she has told the story of getting involved in a
discussion on one of the boards on Mugglenet, and of putting forth some theories as to what was going to happen (this was before the 6th book came out)--and
being told that she didn't know what she was talking about!

I CAN divulge that one Monkee HAS personally been here and read topics in his forum...but I'm sworn to secrecy and I can NOT tell you which one. I
don't know if he comes by now or if he reads anything now, but I do one that one of them has definitely been here.
How's that for a tease?????

BD,so you're saying that the people of Monkeeland have hired seasoned professionals to come in and write the posts for us?
I thought that was sacred and we had to take a pledge never to mention that. Now we'll never get this site into the Hall of Fame because we'll be looked at as Manufactured and not legitimate.
