Wow so the lady was 83 years old? That means she would have been in her 40's in the 60's....well if she were a Monkees fan...could be the lady just
goes to all sorts of local concerts or something cuz she likes to rock out!
 Yep, never too old for rock-n-roll.
Actually about the Oh Darlin' stuff you said...if you look at the Youtube vids posted from the Jan concert at the Holiday Star, the clip when he launches into Oh Darlin' he does say the same thing....something I had missed when there at the HS, cuz I was just mesmerized by him singing the song! 
So there ya go, all good! (Some here were wondering if he got songs/stories mixed up, me included..)
Would have loved to be a bird nearby to hear what your mom and Coco had to say about those SF days! Did your mom tell you what they talked about? Interaction with the audience....it could be he was feeling better as you say, but maybe also he felt more at home in So Cal? So he interacted more.... Thanks for sharing things with us! You know we appreciate it.

Thanks for adding the details about the second show, Nora! What a shame that you didn't get a picture with all 3 generations of fangirls, but the pictures
you did get are great! Would you mind reposting the actual review parts of this thread in the Concert Review forum to make it easier to find in the future?
I don't know if anyone else is like me, but I love to go back and reread concert reviews every now and then, and it's often hard to find them in other
forums. I'd be happy to repost your pix in that forum if you decide to post your review there.

Man,
Too bad I had to work that day. I got an email from work saying something about discounted tickets which if I hadn't been working, I would have probably taken my fiance to see the fair and to see the concert. I probably would have gotten up and danced too. I definitely would have been singing along to the songs. That's for sure. |

Yeah, it was a very fun concert! Maybe you can catch him next time. It seems like Micky does about 1 SoCal performance a year. You'd think he'd do
more, considering it's his home base.
Shane's photobucket account is probably full of pix of his newphew (we need to see a new one!) and all the vixen pics that Molly posts for our guys from time to time.
