Said Strange Dave kept him on for OVER AN HOUR! I thought it was going to be about 20 minutes. Don't know if they will edit it for the archives or what but from what he says, it sounds like a humdinger of a radio bit. This might be quite the show! We'll have to listen and see...I assume it will be on the archives very soon. Let us hope!

Edit: Listened to it while I straightened out my kitchen. It IS a longer interview, (as Panic implies), but Peter does talk about everything under the sun, lol. It will be shown on the righthand side of the page, the very first one highlighted in a light bright green, like a highlight marker color. Aspiemonkeediva.....I heard that on the interview about the Asperger's syndrome....I don't think it QUITE was fake......it sounded to me like someone quoted him out of context, like he was saying something off the cuff and it got into print that he has it. But I am sure Peter himself meant to cause no harm to anyone who does have it! You know? Rachael

This page will also let you download this interview. This is a really good interview. Peter talks about alot of stuff here. And it's a nice long interview. Almost an hour and a half. Anybody ever notice the detail Peter remembers about things, especially the Monkees stuff? I noticed it alot in the DVD commentaries he did for the show, and in all of his interviews over the years. I really wish he would put it all down in a book someday. I know someone asked him that in the Daily Panic column he does, and it didn't seem like he was going to, but I really wish he would. It would be a good read for sure.

But not HERE, I guess! LOL! I started this thread b/c I was the one who booked him on The Strange Dave show ( not something I usually do for him, it just happened that way this time) but I sure didn't read the whole thread! Thank you SO much for putting it where I could read it all...I must have gotten distracted and wandered off before the thread wound down or that was right when I started at ML and I didn't navigate around too well then. I listened to the interview and see (hear!) what you and AMD are talking about now.... yeah, I took what he said originally to be that he said something very off the cuff/ top of his head (boy, is he given to do that) and could have been misinterpreted but the reason he actually even said such a thing at all, I believe (from what he told me when I asked him) is that he once considered, however briefly, that he might have it. Sort of like if someone were to say, jokingly, about a situation that would apply:, "Oh I have trouble with that. I have Aspergers." Using it as a saying or a reference, rather than an actual fact. Hope I'm making some kind of sense here. Still, I don't think he meant to hurt anyone's feelings. He's got his moments of being a bit blunt or generalizing, certainly (and oh, how often they get into print!), but he's not a cruel person by nature. Not at all. If he was, I certainly wouldn't be friends with him. I don't like anyone enough for that. Aspie, if your feelings are hurt by this, or even if you are just curious, why don't you write and ask him what happened and ask what he said originally and whether he was joking for real or pretend? I'll bet you would get a response and maybe an explanation much better than me trying to piece together his words on a radio show and what he told me when I asked him if he had AS... and trying to make the two cohesive!

He's fun and very sweet! Intelligent. I was thrilled with him the first time I met him, wasn't so crazy about him the second time I met him, but the third time was a charm and I realized he's very special and cool.
