Mary's mom passed away last night. Mary is still in shock, of course. She sure has lost a lot in the last couple of years. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers. JanB |

That is so sad. It is a terrible thing to have to go through, I know from experience. Mare, my sincerest sympathy.

Thank you all for your kind words. And thanks Jan for posting it. I just haven't had the time or energy to think about that. She had been sick for about
three weeks, in the hospital twice in that time period and finally diagnosed with intestional blockage and a bad infection. Her kidneys started to fail and her
body just shut down.
We had just moved her from the hospital to hospice four hours before she passed. She was ready to go though.. she and I had a conversation about that not long before she got really sick. She missed my dad so much, she was just ready. I know she's in Heaven with him now... once again telling him what to do.

Mare, I'm sorry to hear about your mom passing too...but it sounds like everyone is going to be "ok"...I know it's still a loss but when the
person is ready to go those that love them know it's time to let go as well. It sounds like you knew that, especially with what you said that they are both
"in heaven and she's again telling him what to do". You're in my thoughts and prayers...

Sorry, to hear about your Mom. I've not been on line too much lately, my Mom is back in the hospital, so I've been spending time between work and
there. I do not look forward to what you are experiencing now, but know it will happen one day. Take care.

My m-i-l passed in May of 1999 - she was also sick for about the same amount of time. Fine one week, became ill the next, went into the hosp and never
recovered. It was her gallbladder, and then the rest of her body just started shutting down. She was 59.
Be strong Mare and know that we are here for you.

Like you said, she's been reunited with your daddy in Heaven and is probably now running the show - hmmm, I wonder, do they have 'remotes' in Heaven?

Thank you all. It doesn't seem real. She spent alot of time at my house, especially the last few months and I just can't believe she'll never be
here again. I guess I'm in shock right now. You always think you're prepared, but you're not. It was the same way when my first husband died. I
just couldn't believe he was never coming back.
