Last night I was cuddling with my daughter before she went to bed and we were listening to the "Micky Dolenz Puts You to Sleep" c.d. I asked her
what she'd like to say to Micky if she ever gets the chance to meet him. Her answer: "Take me away from this crazy lady and take me home with
you!"

So now you have the CD? Do you still have the cassette tape I sent you? That's pretty funny that your daughter would rather go with Micky than you!

Yeah, the tape had gotten played so much it was about to wear out so someone from this board was kind enough to burn a c.d. for me. I still have the tape,
though!

Ok, now I have to add my Monkee baby story! As my daughter was driving home today from grocery shopping with her 17 month old Hannah in the car seat she was
playing the Porpoise Song on her CD player. As they sang Good bye, good bye, good bye, guess what Hannah was singing? She sat there and said goodbye and then
started yelling it! How cute! A third generation of Monkee fan in my family!

Nora wrote:Haha, awe. Well, what can we say? She's a girl. (That sums it up nicely, yes?) By the way, I was cruising through the threads when I came across one you started (I can't think of the title now and of course I can't find it!) about the hotness of Micky's tooshie..... Nora, you're a gal after my own heart! That has to be the best Micky thread in the *history* of Micky threads! I'm still recovering over that one! Hugs and high-fives,

"Out of the mouth of Babes"
Well, my daughter will be 13 next month so I guess she's not really considered a "babe" but at Davy's concert last Saturday, she said "he looks really hot from here and I love his voice." I'm sure Davy would love to know he's still got it. Granted we were pretty far away but oh well! Personally I don't like the word "hot" coming out of young girl's mouths, but that is what they say now instead of "cute." I know this is the Micky forum but when I saw the title I thought of what she said right away. I wonder what she will say about Micky?

I'm with you guys, too, on the word "hot" being used by kids. They don't seem to think anything of it, though.

Cool! I have 4 cats (we did have 5, one got sick and died a couple of months ago; I still miss him
Sky actually stands for my initials, my first name is Sandi (and the 429 is my birthdate), but I think Sky is a pretty name, so people here can call me Sandi or Sky, I like both.

He-he-he, remember who says hot these days???
Or shall I say "that's hot"???? Ah well, I suppose that is a testament to what kids WILL pick up off a tv. Must be some truth in that...

I don't think my daughter has ever seen Paris Hilton, though. At least not in such a way that she would pay attention to her. The few times I've heard
her say it (she quit after I discouraged her from using the word), she seemed to have picked it up from her friends and possibly from some shows on Disney
Channel. Most of the shows on Disney are okay, but there is this one insipid show, The Emperor's New School, in which the lead male character refers to the
lead female character as a "Hottie Hot Hottie". The way he says it is annoying, makes me want to smack him.

Sky wrote:Wow, you have 4? Hats off to you, girl, I have just the one and she's enough of a handful. I can't imagine more! **trembles in fear** lol. Nah, Skylar is definitely a sweetheart. But MAN, does she have an attitude/temper. Translation: she's really such a girl! Sky wrote: That's true--we really don't think about it. Or at least, I know I didn't until you guys pointed that out. I'll typically use the term "hot" to apply to a guy I'm ogling as eye candy. I truly don't mean anything derogatory by it. It's just me being playful and young and hormonally driven, I guess. For me, it just bothers me to hear the word "hot" being used by kids. To me, "hot" indicates that you may find someone sexually attractive,
and I just hate to hear kids that shouldn't be sexually anything saying something that sounds, well...sexual.
Adults saying it...that doesn't sound bad to me.
