Has anyone read I'm a Believer, My Life of Monkees, Music and Madness? It's about Micky's experience with the Monkees. I bought in 1994 and I
thought it was a great book. I learned a lot of things about the Monkees music and Micky's whole experience with it. It also detailed his directorial
career over in England and what his experience was coming to the Monkees in the late 80s. I thought it was a great book even though it is outdated now.

James, he has an "updated" version that was done some years ago, but it really only includes the making of "Justus" and it's more like
an adendum. But yes, great book. Micky has a knack for telling stories.

Oh nice, yeah really showed his personality in the book. He's seems so happy go lucky yet level headed at the same time. I'll have to check out the
updated version though, I don't know much about what happened with the making of Justus and the Hey hey it's the monkees tv special back in 1997.

I liked it,too. It's written with a lot of Micky's humour. Interesting inside views, buy it if you have the chance.

This is what got me back into the fandom, lo for many yrs out of it....reading his bio. I was soooo shocked to hear the truth of things, though all grown up I
knew there must have been one, compared to the fluff back in the day
Was shocked but not in a really bad way, more like a 'so THAT'S how it all
went down I should have known' even down to the black box.

I found it in a library years ago and sat and scanned it or Speed Read it . Never really did sit and read it but I found it funny, interesting and
enlightening. I would like to read the updated version someday.

I thought it was a great book, too! After reading Micky's bio and Davy's bio, I would love it if I could read a bio from Mike and Peter, too! It
would sort of give the whole Monkees experience from all points of view.

One thing that Mickey didn't really get into is to why did he move back to LA back in 1993. I know at that point in his career Mickey was mostly working
behind the scenes as a director.
