Congrats and thanks to Mare for her all of her work in the Jones forum over the past 6 years. She is a true asset to ML, folks, and we are honored to have her a part of our community. We're so glad that she'll still be posting with us and keeping everyone informed on all the latest Jones news. So on that front, nobody should see any difference there.

It was a very arduous task to decide on new mods. Everyone in mod./admin. put our heads together on this, and ultimately decided that this tag team effort between Jen, Tammy and LMBt would be the best to serve the forum's needs at this time. I hope everybody will help them feel welcome. Best of luck in your new roles, ladies.

I can understand that. But at the same time, we're trying to make everybody understand that Mare isn't going anywhere. There's every reason to expect that she'll be here every bit as much as she used to be, providing the same kind of good information that she always has. Please understand that it's not as if she's going away and not coming back. It's very much the opposite!

The truth of the matter is this. The Jones forum, out of all the forums here at ML, can be one of the most difficult to moderate. DJ seems to evoke some stronger emotions and opinions in certain people than some of the other Monkees, and keeping everybody playing nicely can sometimes be very trying. Mare has developed other priorities in her life, and being here all the time to make sure that everybody is getting along has proved to be more difficult for her than it used to. As an admin., I can totally understand those concerns. It's not an easy job to be sure.

Although the announcement of the new mods is sudden, this is something that mods and admin have known about for a while, and as I stated above we really gave some serious thought as to who would be good replacements. It wasn't an easy decision! Our goal here was to pick a team that would keep this forum humming in the manner that ML members are accustomed to. Just because this forum is under new mods, it's still the Jones forum, with the same posters, and the same great fun and information.

Please don't think that this change is going to change things in here in some drastic, foreign way. Our goal is to keep things as close to the same as we possibly can!
