I became a Nezhead because he hypnotized me with his beautiful brown eyes and his soft and tender voice in his ballads. Posts: 133 (09/14/03 1:00 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I was a diehard Dolenzkateer when I was a kid, and then the Monkees just vanished for twelve years until one day during the summer that I spent sitting around because of a broken collarbone I happened to catch the end of Tommy. I kept the TV on and Roger Daltrey came on and introduced "the only movie the Monkees ever made." I never knew they made a movie, so I grabbed a tape, thinking "Hey, I haven't seen the boys in a LONG time." About midway through I'm drooling on myself, staring in absolute awe and thinking "Who is that Texan and where the hell has he BEEN my whole life!?" After that, reading Neftoon Zamora, hearing his solo work, and watching him in all the episodes just deepened my love and respect for his artistry, intelligence, and sense of humor. Oh, and the fact that he's gorgeous and has a behind made by a German scientist (Dr. Feintush) doesn't hurt either. "Why does Mike always win?" "He has six fingers on that hand." Nez albums were easy to get so i just became a collector...after listening to Tropical Campfires how could you not fall completely in love?? I also think the WINK that was in the circus episode really turned me on to Nez...(ya know what i mean)---peace and love--V

I used to stare at his picture on the first album, and I was impressed that he wrote two songs on it. Later, I was also impressed that he wrote a couple of songs on my Linda Ronstadt album. But I had no idea of the extent of his work until 2000 when I got into the Monkees again because of the VH1 specials. I got the 16 Greatest Hits CD and was hooked, for life it appears. His songs are beautiful and done with such feeling. The lyrics actually have meaning and depth. I love his voice, especially on the first three FNB albums. He makes sure that everything he puts his hand to is first quality work. I admire him because he never stops learning, and reaching. Chris "We just want to be revered by a small minority." I think it's probably because most people like Davy 'cause he's the cute one and all that, and I like to be different, so... or maybe the hat and sideburns... but I don't know for sure. - Neopets!

I first fell in luv with the monkees when i watched the tv show!! that show is very funny and creative i luv it!!! Nez's music is fantstic i think he's the best songwriter out of the monkees but the other guys are great at writing songs too they all have lovely brown eyes and hair (well...they did have luvly brown hair lol) not to mention their fein tushes lol

Something just hit me like fire. And that accent, those eyes, the stare, my God! Plus the fact that he's a guitar player. I've always had a thing for guitar players. Now I own two Nez albums, And The Hits Just Keep On Comin' and 16 Originial Classics. More to follow. Everytime I listening to them, especially One Rose and Sliver Moon, I melt completely. I'm doing it now.

I think I liked Nez the most, because I picked up on the fact he was a dark horse, brooding, and seemed serious despite the silly show. That southern drawl was just as sweet and sugary as it could be. Of course, the eyes... I read what I could on the Monkees (Monkees Tale). I went into Monkeemania dormancy for over a decade. Earlier this year, I picked up a DVD copy of Daydream Believers. Now I am hooked again. I just cannot wait to listen to Nez commentary on the DVD. Now, being older, I kind of like them all the same in different ways. I first saw the Monkees in the mid 1970s as a small child, but recall very, very little of it from that time (basically, the only thing I recall is them pushing Davy in the bed down the street
