Look at Rays! Seriously, I hope it will be an improved version incorporated with alot of the ideas Nez was talking about before the Active worlds version closed. The Train around the Ranch, movies/films at the Rio Drive in.... My guess is that Nez does have his own Videogame development company now so maybe he is working on developing his own universe and not have to use the Activewords or any one else's engines. Microsoft Outlook is not only an email tool but it is a planning tool with address books & contact lists, Calendars, to do Lists, sticky note keeping and a journal for all the other Microsoft documents you might generate like letters, forms, spreadsheets, presentation projects etc. In Networked businesses, you can apply to get on any of the calendars of your contacts in your address book if you want to have a meeting with them. I never thought the day would come when I would be in love with a man in his 60's - but at 46, it just doesn't seem to be THAT OLD anymore. Ya know what I mean? Mike is 11 years younger than my dad, for heaven's sake. When did this happen?? I'm going to have to take some computers for dummys courses, if they bring back Videoranch the way Dad and the others talk about it, I'm going to want to be able to go there too!! I read on another thread about there used to be "flamingos that mooned you" - I absolutely love flamingos! This I want to see! I know it's been sneaking up on me for years, but when did I become my grandmother's doppleganger? One thing that could be to my advantage: I know what Michael looked like when he was younger - I'd still take him today. If somewhere in time, I would become the next "lifetime partner" of Mr. Nesmith (I know, I know in the Twilight Zone) I would have the advantage that he would take me as I am, not knowing what a stark-raving beauty I wasn't when I was younger. In my case I hope he does remember and think of me as I was - minus Gray hair(it is Clairol brown), wrinkles and all the weight. I wish I looked like my pic to the left, again. Even if he does think of me as an old great grandmother (which is what I am) I still have the same dreams you do. I spoke to a ranch hand yesterday, she told me that the site is "days away" from being ready. She told me that there will soon be a prompt for an application for membership on the site - it won't be free this time. She also told me that if you are on the VR E-mail mailing list you will receive a special invitation to join for, I think she said 3 months for free. She said it was going to be awesome and Nez would be making periodic, unannounced appearances. She told me some other things but I was working my part-time job and I'm not sure I heard everything correctly, so those will be surprises. I was soooo excited from talking to her that I went out and bought a computer for my house!!! I'll take delivery next week so the Geek Squad can update the video card - the one I wanted had to be ordered. Love, "Raspy"
