Last night was wonderful. Davy was at his best! I had not seen him as relaxed and happy like that in a long time. He even parted with his beloved cowboy hat that he has used in his concert for a couple of years. I was glad to see him back! It was like giving that hat away, he was moving on. He reminded me of the Davy that performed back in 2003. He was talking back and forth to the audience and acknowledging others. Also, Eric and Dave A (Loafy) are back and you could tell!!!!!!! Having some of the brass back just was great and sounded awesome with Eric and Aviva. Dave A's back up singing was a welcomed harmony also! Glad to see that whatever seemed to be emotionally draining for Davy is gone and he is back with a vengence~! LOL I may even try Epcot this year, if he keeps this up!!!!!!! I thought I'd respond here, so you don't give up on posting reviews in this forum in the future. It's true that a lot of people just post their concert experiences in the individual Monkee forums, but I think there is very good reason for either posting them in both places or for letting people know in the other forums that you've posted your review here. One good reason is that the turnover of threads in the other forums is much more rapid, so newcomers to the board or people who haven't been here for a while will be less likely to find them. Reviews may also be difficult to search for, as quite often they are posted in threads whose subject headings do not make it obvious that they refer to a particular concert. Having a whole bunch of concert reviews in one forum makes it easy for anyone to find concert reviews when they want to, and if more people would post their reviews in this forum, then more fans would be likely to find and read them sooner or later -- and to be able to find reviews of more concerts. I really didn't mean to sound like a defense attorney for this forum or anything, but since it was sort of starting to sound that way to me (sorry! ), I will continue in that vein and say ... In summation, I strongly encourage you and any other concert-going fans to post your concert reviews in this forum! [sits down]

This was the first time I had seen Davy in concert and he was fantastic!! He danced his butt off and was joking alot. I thought him giving his cowboy hat away to the person in the front for their child was touching. He was so upbeat and he looked SO GOOD. Towards the end (I can't remember what song he was about to sing) he joked it was for everyone who used to have his pictures on their bedroom walls and kissed the TV everytime he used to come on it. Then he joked you could get electrocuted back then kissing the TVs. He was pretty funny that night. Anyway I had a great time with my girls and I have some pictures of the concert, but I tried to link them in this message to my photobucket album, but it doesn't work, so later today I'll try to get my computer knowledgeable daughter to help me. Yahoooo!!! If one of your pix came out sideways, chances are it's because that's the way you held your camera when you took the shot. Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop should help you with that.
