Tonights forecast-

Becoming dark

Will continue dark with chance of hail of lead in pockets of the city and the Metro Region.

Also a chance of periodic fires breaking out and a flood of homeless into shelters because of the chilly temps.

Dark continues until morning when it will break out into widely scattered light and congested highways.

Any blanket can give off quite a jolt of electricity especially if the air is really dry. Happens a lot in winter months mainly during periods of very low or no humidity. A good humidifier can help that. My mom's house in Vermont is very Static electric prone in the winter because the air is so dry. No one there uses electric blankets

We use electric mattress heating pads instead of the Blankets. I don't think it is the electric blanket itself though the coils may be helping to charge an energy field combined with the dry air to help set the right conditions needed for good Static Electricity generation.
