I am just trying to figure out how I am going to get to the Pala Casino from OceanSide. My husband and I are taking a GreyHound Bus for 16 hours just to get there. but the bus arrives in OceanSide. EEEK , how will I make it to the Pala. Who ever is going please pick us up (joking). I am sure I will get there somehow. Sandra

That would solve your transport problems - it really isn't a good idea to come to Southern California without transport arrangements for all your plans unless you are practically in walking distance of your hotel and travel-transport stop. (I was completely squashed in the backseat of our car the night of "Pippin"; fortunately, it was only a five-minute drive. Purportedly, I should say, we lost our sense of direction in the dark down in Costa Mesa. My legs were completely cramped up the rest of the weekend after that whole shindig!) Also, you may want to call Pala Casino and ask them if they have recommendations on public or paid transport or shuttles from Oceanside to Pala. I'm sure they would have information for the customers who want to come out there! ^^^^^^^^^^^^ My fansite: The Monkees @ FashionState.Com Can you dig it?

Posts: 3007 (03/08/07 7:05 PM) The Divoon Miss M nutty-buddy "not Peg" Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	If your husband can drive, it will be easier to rent a car than try public transport, but here's something I found: The Harrah's Casino in Rincon has free shuttle service from two locations in Oceanside. Pick-up at 9:00 am / 9:15 am and 1:00 pm / 1:15 pm, depending on your location. Click here for PDF file with routes and info. From Harrah's, there is a bus from the North San Diego Transit District that runs from Harrah's to Pala Casino on a regular basis. The bus is called "The Breeze" and Route 388 will take you the last 16 miles to Pala. Here's the link with the Breeze's schedule. Here's the link to fares and further information. I have no idea as far as your accommodations - if you aren't staying at Pala for the night, you'll have to take a taxi back to Oceanside. The info I provided is a bit of a roundabout way, but pretty darned cheap considering the distance! If you plan yourself accordingly you should be able to use this economical way to at least get to Pala, if not back to Oceanside. Wish we had a bigger car or I had better info to help you out more, but this was the best I could manage. Please take the time to visit these links, contact the bus lines, find out your location of arrival in Oceanside to find the quickest route to the nearest Harrah's shuttle pick-up point in Oceanside (Yahoo! maps work pretty well!), buy tickets, plan your schedule, and do whatever further research you'll need as I'm going to be unavailable for most of the evening tonight and will be out in Hollywood tomorrow and unfortunately won't be available on-line to assist you further. This is the first time in 7years we have been on our own. I have lived with my mom most of my sons life.He just turned 9. I might see if Danny can pick us up. The show was out of this world.Not a single seat left in the house. The Missing Links performed the following songs ...... Clarklsville,Mary Mary,A little bit me,Papa Genes blues,She,James Brown,Look Out(Here),Words,Lets Dance On/Good Lovin,Mike Solo Hendrix,Twist and Shout,No Time,Door into Summer,Valleri,Stump the Monkees, Pleasant Valley sunday,Day Dream Believer,I'm a Believer,Steppin Stone,Monkees Theme song. The Missing Links dedicated Door into summer to Jerry Renino.The crowd went wild with excitement,the links gave an awesome performance. Danny portrayed a VERY good sense of humor telling a couple of jokes that left the crowd roaring with laughter. The crowd shouted for an enchore which the Links were pleased to come back out on stage for just one more. The Missing Links are looking forward to their return performance in May. And if you come down this way again, we'll keep in better contact so we can make certain time and / or money is utilized in the best possible fashion, okay? I missed out when they were in Ojai last year, I missed out on this one. Surely the third time will be the charm in my quest to see the Links! (At least I hope so...!) NEW YORK CITY/EAST COAST TOUR DATES TO BE RESCHEDULED 3/22/07 We are sorry to report that our East coast dates this spring in New York will have to be rescheduled for later this summer. The Bands east coast agency Barry Brown Star Productions sites technical problems with the assigned venues but promises to have the guys in New York this summer. "We are disappointed" Say Ricky "There have been some false alarms about our return to New York but I know we'll get out there this year." Please take note that the band only reports concerts that are in the planning stages. More often than not, things can happen and venues can have unseen problems at any moment. The GOOD news band will definitly be in New Jersey in September for a Monkee Mania Weekend w Sitar Bob. Details will be posted here very soon. MISSING LINKS BLOW THE ROOF OFF AT PALA CASINO!! 3/16/07 In what may have been thier best show ever, the Missing Links absolutely destroyed the audience with thier full energy Monkees tribute show at the Pala last saturday. "Two encores in a set Casino show is unheard of, Id have to say that this Pala show ranked as one of our best" Says Danny" Our regulars all seemed to all think so too. We had Monkees fans come from as far as Salt Lake city, Utah to see our show and they told me they'd do it again." The band was on fire. Keyboardest Tommy (Tork) says; "We have one of the BEST singing Drummers in the country. Its no easy feat singing like Micky Dolenz. If you are going to sing Mickys vocals, then you'd better be a darn good vocalist". Danny says "No truer words have ever been spoken." Listen to what the flower people say... THE MISSING LINKS ROCK YUMA, ARIZONA 3/8/07 Once again, the Missing Links brought thier A-game to the beautiful State of Arizona. The band performed at the Yuma car show in front of an estimated three thousand people. "The good folks of Arzona really were great to us" says Links Danny. "We gave them a %$#@@ rockin show too, lol" Promoter Chuck Heinal says the Links are one of the best tribute bands hes ever had. Chuck says "Ive been burned with some Munster tribute bands selling me fake promo but the Missing Links absolutely live up to thier reputation, they ARE at the TOP of the line!!" The Links performed with the great classic rock band out of San Diego, Rockola. The two bands immediately became fast friends. "Those guy are great" says Danny. Look for the Links to return to Arizona again later this year. NEW MISSING LINKS CD COMING SOON 2/25/07 Despite several solo projects amongst the band, the group is in the process of completing its first full album. "We are working hard on our first CD " Says Danny" Its really tough doing solo projects, Links concerts, shooting a new video and all of us have our personal lives too. I dont know how the Monkees managed to do it on a much bigger scale than we can even imagine. Its a miracle they lasted as long as they did!" A release date will be announced here when the CD is completed. Stay tuned!!
