Leave it to set. Then pour over a layer of custard leave to set in the fridge then top with whipped double cream and cherrys of chocolate chips or whatever you like. Theres loads of different versions of trifle of course i cant eat this version now because of the Jello (I'm a vegetarian) also I don't like cold custard I used to have it without. KAT ~ oh thank you very much can i have a cookie ~

I had heard of trifle as a food before, but I never had any idea what it was! In the U.S. there are a lot of brands of "flavored gelatin dessert" that are actually made with agar-agar or some other vegetarian alternative to gelatin. You might want to see if you can get any in the UK if you really have a hankering for this particular delicacy! Btw, even though we've wandered a bit off course from the original topic of this thread, I just wanted to say congratulations to all the new FVBs, the FMB, MandrakeMallard, and The Divoon Miss M! (I love that one, Molly!) If I've missed anyone, please pop in and let us all know! Also, those of you with FVB and FMB might want to stop by to explain what these letters mean to you! From my understanding of the FVB post in Monkeeshines, it has the ability to be a bit open ended and open to individual interpretation! As for my ickle name, I was deemed "Mistress of the Marathon" when I took on the project of transcribing the entire 23 1/2 hours of the June 8th - 9th, 2006 40th Anniversary Monkeethon, which was broadcast on radio station WBWC 88 3 The Sting in Berea, Ohio and also on WBWC.com. After almost 6 months, I'm still working on it! As a matter of fact, I just posted another installment and only have another hour and a half left to transcribe! Yours says "Registered User". Some of us have more custom titles. We call them "ickle names". They have to be earned by saying something or doing something we find very funny. Only admins can give them. Some people get theirs quickly and some take longer. No worries...most people who hang around long enough and post enough get one (or more!). I am a fan of the sci-fi series "Quantum Leap". "Quanta" is the plural form of Quantum. As for "76"...it's my birthday (July 6) and the year I graduated from high school. The name I sign with, Cookie, was given to me as a kid by an almost uncle. (His brother was married to one of my dad's sisters.) When I finally went online (1998), I decided that I wanted that nickname back. Peace on Earth Cookie "Let's just say you're mentally prepared for a life different than the one you're in."

The 'queen' part of my username is from the fact that I was born on what would have been Queen Victoria's 160th birthday (I was almost named 'Victoria', but my mother named me after the famous Shirley Temple movie). The 'Heidi' part is my real first name, I never use my middle name for anything. A Canadian Monkees Fan!

My screenname - well, I'm "India" over at two other boards, but I guess there was already an "India" in the world of EZ Board. So I plunked in the extra "i" so the system would let me register. My real name is Lisa, and I came up with the India screenname back around November '05, I think? I go to Habitat for Humanity builds as often as money allows - I've done seven here in NY, and traveled to three others - Georgia in 2000, South Korea in 2001 and Mexico in 2004. Anyway, the 2006 build was in India, and I freaked out, I wanted to go SO badly! But due to finances and limited space for U.S. volunteers on the build, I didn't get to go (extreeeeeme bummer!). Anyway, I came up with the screenname and had just registered at the other two boards while I was still planning the trip, before the whole thing fell through. And I'm just so used to the name, I figured I'd just continue it and use it here too.
