Hi! I'm Heidi. I live in Canada, I'm 27 (I turn 28 in May, 2007).

I've been a Monkees fan for 10 years. The first Monkees episode I was was actually the 1997 ABC Reunion, at that time, the reruns were not being shown in Canada. A few weeks after the reunion first aired, the reruns were finally being shown in Canada on the MuchMusic channel (We had no MTV in Canada at that time). The first episode of the reruns I saw was the first Monkee episode ever aired 'Royal Flush'. I was hooked instantly. The reruns aren't currently show in Canada, but I have the season 1 & 2 DVD boxsets.

I had known about the Monkees a few years before I saw the rerun because I have heard their songs being played on the radio. I have seen Davy on television many times, as well as the other three.

My favorite Monkee is Davy (or David, as he prefers). Davy is still cute at age 61 and I've had a crush on him since I was 18.

How did I decide on a username? Well, my birthday is May 24 (the same as Queen Victoria's) and I've always been refered to as 'the queen' in school.

I'm single and loving every minute of it. I can't have any children of my own, but I have a niece that I love so much.

I do model in spring and fall fashion shows at my favorite clothing store. I can't think of a better way to get a 20% discount on new clothes.

I just may post my fashion show pictures in photobucket.

I was born in Cornwall in England, I work from home as a Freelance Artist and Designer, I get my artist skills from my dad, but this was not my chosen profession, I wanted to be an Actress or Dancer, and wanted to go to drama school, but my folks could not afford to send me, I use to take part in school plays and loved drama and dance at school...

well i am a product of the 70's but growing up in cali i got lots of music but my gram only approved of clean stuff out went posin in came the beatles and monkees. i have the theme song on my phnoe answering machine my cell ring and 3 posted on my space.i used an old clander of them as book covers in school.i have my two young (7&3)children singing them already.so thats it.just jenn

Hi - I'm Melissa and I think I am considered a second generation Monkee fan...? I'm 36 years old, married for a little over 3 years, no kids. We have 2 chihuahuas named Spike and Beans. I worked at Northern Trust Bank for many years and am now a stay at home wife. I love it, btw. I love to bake (and EAT). My guilty pleasures are Judge Judy and light Hagen Daaz caramel cone ice-cream. I have been a Davy fan since I can remember but really hope to see some of the others if they are ever in Chicago. I have really enjoyed reading about everyone on the board - such interesting and sweet people here - and also hope to see some of you at the November 08 St. Charles show. :-0 Oh - and my user name, hopefully, speaks for itself.

I hope you'll both make yourselves comfortable here and feel free to post often throughout whichever ML forums interest you.

Jenn, you'll find that many of us who have kids have also gotten our children interested in The Monkees, and that is so much fun! We even have a couple of families on the board that include multiple generations of Monkeelanders! We also have members from just about every generation of Monkees fandom you can think of, and fresh perspectives are always welcome. Where did you find the Monkees calendar that you used for your book covers? That sounds cool!

I am definitely a first generation fan. My sister, my cousin & I were crazy for the Monkees! In the beginning of the Hey Hey with the Monkees song where it says "maybe we're coming to your town" we believed it! We actually thought that car with the Monkees would come driving down our street one day. My older sister and my cousin were in love with Davy where as I was in love with Micky. We had their posters on our walls and we lived for Monday nights when the show came on. Even at 8 I thought it was pretty silly. I must say, this board has brought back a lot of those good feeling I had for the Monkees. I got my CD's out and was playing them in my car today. I posted a "hello" message to introduce myself but I thought I would say hi here too. I will be 49 on May 21st. That is me in the picture over there. I live in Pennsylvania. My daughter is 12 and my son is 19. I've been married for 23 years. I still feel like I did back in my Monkee hay-day but there is quite a different face looking back at me in the mirror! I just made one of those Yuku profiles so visit and leave me a message! I would love to hear from you!
