There have been a lot of questions about the community chest. What's it for, where does the money go, do I hafta, all that jazz. To sum up, any money donated to our Community Chest (CC) goes to make sure we don't have any popups and other stuff like that. It's entirely optional, you don't have to send a thing. We don't charge dues here, we don't make any money, nothing like that. Ma made an informative speech on the subject awhile ago, and I will just put it here:

There's lots of new members around now so I thought I'd make another little Community Chest speech.
If you haven't noticed, we have a Community Chest located near the bottom of the board, right below the Who's Online box.
Contributions to the chest come from you, the members, and are used to pay "dues" for the board. What we are paying for is a "no ad banner, no pop up advertisements" service. Our current GOLD membership will expire Feb 9, 2006.
If you've donated, thank you very, very much. If you haven't and would like to, click the "make a contribution" link. To those living outside the US, I know it's not really easy to donate to Ezboard for you, so you can send your donation (US currency only, please) to me if you prefer and I can donate it. I did this for Bettina (back when local users weren't able to donate) and also for Fuzzeee.
Ezboard accepts credit card donations, paypal, and mail in donations. Any amount you'd like to donate is fine, Ezboard accepts donations of $1!
You guys know I'm not the kind to put pressure on anyone and this is strictly a voluntary thing, but if you'd like to donate and you can, it would be greatly appreciated.

CC Donation Transfers
If you've made a donation to a board, and that board isn't using the money, you can transfer it to Monkeeland! Just go to www.ezboard.com/help/form...ment.html,
scroll to the bottom, and fill in the form. All you have to do is give them both board IDs (the one where your donation currently sits, not being used, and Monkeeland's, which is "bmonkeeland"), and they'll do the rest.
