Americaland is way behind on the DVDs, and thus some important stories are missing from the available lineup. Specifically the one where Ian and Barbara (i.e. the first companions) leave the series. But a quick look at a torrent site and I got a hold of it from a UK dvd rip. I generally don't condone piracy except when it's not otherwise available to you, and this is such a case, heh -----

The American DVDs all tout being digitally restored by BBC America, and it shows. Apparently BBC Britain is far too cheap and lazy for such a thing, cause this is just grainy and full of those spots that show up often on old movie reels and such. Now I get why we're so far behind on the DVDs, they're actually trying to give us a good presentation. Jolly good goes back to watching time traveling Dalek's trying to kill the Doctor -----

I actually changed my name (Thea Sigma is my real legal name now) so it's an obscure Doctor Who reference! I've also had rats named "Glitz and Dibber" and I'm saving up for my first Dr Who-themed tattoo! Problem is, I'm not a great fan of the new series and get VERY grumpy when I tell people I'm a fan and they say "Oooh! Me too! I really fancy that David Tennant!" Argh!

The Sci-fi channel has the latest episodes. So this friday coming is the I think the first of the 2 parter? or is one more episode then the season finale. I hope David Tennant stays.

That according to the article might sway David to stay besides the 3 million they are offering him to do the show. Lets hope he takes it and stays. They also said that 10.5 million watch the last episode in England.

Looks like my run of the William Hartnell doctor is almost over, as many of his later stories were lost. Tis a shame, the old man has grown on me. Thankfully wiki has detailed recounts of what's missing. I can't wait til I get to stories that cover the Time Lords in more detail. Especially the Trial of a Time Lord story arc. That just sounds tits. -----

I saw him live the other day - he looked perfect - wandering round in a scruffy suit and waistcoat - he looked VERY Doctorish! He's the only person who could get away with playing Spike Milligan (In the Life and Death of Peter Sellars) and I think he'd make a perfect Doctor!
