I think the 4 of you have hit upon my all-time favorite dramatic Monkees moments already! In order of favorites, with #1 the highest, they would probably be:

1) Mike's speech about music, love & power in "The Devil and Peter Tork"
2) The sweet one-on-one moments that each of The Monkees has with Millie in "Monkee Mother"
3) The "goodbye scene" in "Success Story"
4) Mike's withdrawal speech in "Monkee Mayor."

Well.... the speech from "The Devil and Peter Tork" is definitely my #1 all-time favorite, but the other 3 are actually pretty much neck-and-neck !

Here's one I almost forgot:

5) Mike's little talk with Davy about Davy being hung up on Vanessa in the pilot episode ("Here Come The Monkees"). It's certainly not one of the best acting jobs in the series, as Mike was still pretty stiff in the acting department back then, but it's still a sweet moment, Davy seems very sincere, and I love it!

P.S. Don'tcha just hate it when you go back to edit something and then after the preview, your emoticons (even ones you just posted for the first time in your edit!)disappear?!! I've discovered that you can avoid losing the emoticons if you click "edit" without previewing your newly edited post, but sometimes (like just now) I forget... When that happens, I've discovered that the only thing to do is go back and re-enter the emoticons by clicking them from the drop-down scroll instead of typing in their codes (e.g., :lol, :grr, :yes, etc. -- I'm guessing that these codes are going to show up in letters rather than pix, but the others, which I entered by clicking from the scroll, should show up with their pix intact.) Yeah, I know... I'm on a rant --- .
